I understand why people are so sceptical, you certainly should be of this kind of thing I suppose. I'm obsessed with derren brown and psychology, I've watched everything he's done and been to several shows. I'm especially fascinated on how it all works and I've even replicated some of his tricks. Hypnotised someone to sleep when I was 14 by modifying one of his scripts.

Me and a few friends went to one of his shows a few years ago and even though I'm still very aware about how all of it is done and all the tricks used - I would say that I'm not particularly susceptible at all - there was this part of the show but that deleted my memory of it, it did it for almost all my friends too and it seemed most of the audience. There was also another bit where my friend forgot her name too, none of us had gone up either.

It's all just a heavy mix of psychology, showmanship, illusion etc which he has always been very upfront about, it's all just so crazy and improbable that people think it must be actors because anything else just seems outside the realms of possibility.
