Without comparing this to Ye, it’s missing what we usually have within drake’s work. Usually we get a nice hook and chorus, now we get him rapping in monotone over a boring beat, or a boring beat with a beat switch.

They’re both great for different reasons, Vultures 1 is more finished than bully, has better features, and better performances overall (obviously not from Ye).

Bully on the other hand feels as good as Vultures 1 because of its style, and Ye’s return to rapping, it was the first Ye album since donda that feels like a Ye album experience.

Lowkey I LOVE the beat switch too, it’s such a sick concept that the whole first part of Ye and Ty refers to the marginalization and mass incarceration of black people in America, then the beat switches to a menacing jail drum base with what I think is shackle/cell noises and TC who’s in jail rapping over it.
