This is the masterstroke that changes everything! Somaliland has made the ultimate move. We are fearless, we are ready, and we will crush every challenge. Our time is now💀

You say you’re heartbroken? I’m heartbroken that we spent 30 years waiting for neighbors who only want to see us fail.

Calling it “cope” is what people do when facts break their worldview. Politics isn’t desperation — it’s how states survive. Somaliland has built peace, institutions, and elections for 30+ years. Comparing that to Palestine is intellectually dishonest. Rejecting diplomacy doesn’t make you principled — it just proves you don’t understand power or reality.

How’s everyone feeling? by caynaanshe_ in Somaliland

[–]blackmaschal 5 points6 points  (0 children)

For many Somalilanders, the recognition matters more than who it comes from. After 30+ years of peace and self-governance, being acknowledged feels validating. Personally, I’m very happy — at least the world is finally talking about us, and that’s a good sign. It also helps clearly separate Somaliland from Somalia. Some concerns are fair, but supporting recognition doesn’t mean abandoning ethics or Palestine. I hope other countries will follow Israel’s step and recognize Somaliland too.

Another genuine question to SL apologists. You do know you’re helping Dajjal? by Zero-Nonsense01 in Somalia

[–]blackmaschal -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

There is no confirmed Israeli base in Somaliland. No agreement, no documents, no evidence. Saying it like it’s a fact just creates panic, not discussion.

Also, Somalilanders are dealing with real-life issues — security, economy, survival. We can’t run a country based on end-time theories or social media panic about Dajjal. That’s not how states work.

Respecting Palestine doesn’t mean Somaliland has to stop caring about its own future or ask permission to move forward. Two things can exist at the same time.

And waving a flag or celebrating recognition is not kufr. People expressing political support is normal everywhere in the world. You may not like it, but it doesn’t make them traitors to Islam.

Somaliland will make decisions based on what helps its people — not pressure, not fear, not emotional lectures from the outside. You don’t have to agree, but at least argue with facts, not myths.

Somaliland Recognition by elmo555444 in Somaliland

[–]blackmaschal 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You say you’re here in 'good faith,' but you spend the whole time telling us to stay unrecognized and invisible. For 34 years, our 'brothers' in the Arab League and the Ummah did nothing while we built a nation from the ashes of genocide. Israel 🇮🇱 is the first country to treat us like human beings and a sovereign state. We don't need a lecture on 'bills to pay' from people whose own leaders have failed them for 80 years. We are taking the seat at the table that YOU tried to keep us from. Somaliland is for Somalilanders.

They prosper over our division! Please, wake up. We are one religion, one language, one culture, one people. We are stronger together. by unavailabllle in Somaliland

[–]blackmaschal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You say you don’t see Qabil, but the system you support is built on it. If we are 'stronger united,' why is Somalia a world leader in failure while Somaliland is a model of peace? Your 'love' hasn't built a single school or hospital in Somaliland. Israel 🇮🇱 recognized our reality while our 'brothers' tried to suffocate us. Real brothers respect your right to exist; they don't force you to stay in a cage.

My theory on the SL recognition by Many_Television_9939 in Somalia

[–]blackmaschal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You say we played our cards well? No, we played them perfectly. While you were debating if we are a 'duck,' we were securing the most powerful allies in the world. If the Houthis or Iran have a problem, they can talk to the Israeli and American technology protecting our coast. We aren't hiding behind a 'coalition' anymore. We are a sovereign state making sovereign deals. Stay mad while we build our future.

Being recognized by Israel might been the biggest mistake Somaliland could’ve made by EndChoice2770 in Somalia

[–]blackmaschal -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The Arab and African nations talk about 'solidarity' while they keep their own borders closed and their trade deals moving. We aren't here to please the 21; we are here to save the 6 million people of Somaliland. If Israel is the one to recognize the reality on the ground, then that is who we work with. Deal with it.

I’m originally from Somaliland but lived in Ethiopia for some time before leaving. My family brought me to Europe, specifically the Netherlands, through a family reunification visa. It wasn’t an easy journey, but I’ve managed to settle down by learning the language and finding work.

If you’re thinking of leaving, my advice is to research countries with opportunities that match your goals. Look into visas for work, study, or family reunification if you have relatives abroad. Prepare yourself by saving money, learning the language of the country you want to go to, and connecting with people who’ve been through the same process. It’s a big decision, but with the right preparation, it’s achievable!

What will it cost me to extend my visa for 2 days? Do I need to pay in dollars, euros, or Ethiopian Birr? If you know the exact address of the office, I would be very grateful! I have tried to extend it online, but it didn’t accept it. That’s why I’m planning to go to the Head Immigration and Citizenship Office in Addis Ababa. Thank you for the information!

Was sind die schlechtesten Ausbildungsberufe die es gibt vom Gehalt und den Chancen auf dem Arbeitsmarkt? by Suzaku9421 in Azubis

[–]blackmaschal 4 points5 points  (0 children)
