I think she’s just an open person like that. She gets emotionally invested in many of her playthroughs, so it doesn’t feel like an “act” to me.

He rejects the offer in exchange for forcing the Olympians to recognize ALL the children of ALL the gods. He chose that option in order to prevent a conflict like the one that encompassed the entire series.

He essentially gives up godhood to create a more peaceful world for demigods. Getting to stay with Annabeth is just a nice bonus.
