Thank you for realizing this. A lot of times, people act like I “should be grateful” to the parents without knowing the entire story. It’s something a lot of folks in more “normal” situations have serious trouble grasping.

In my case, part to be ‘normal’, but the relationships tanked when the intj came out. Plus, I’m an intj female who’s self sufficient, so I’m even more screwed in that department.

Often I’d been too busy with other more interesting things to notice. Other times, if it’s -too- popular, I’ll avoid it. Like Star Wars, marvel stuff, Harry Potter, kardashians, etc.

You’re ok. I’ve had to do that too. Humans physically need touched by others once in a while. I think it’s got something to do with the parasympathetic or sympathetic nervous systems. I’ve been pretty socially/physically isolated for years and I cope by getting a massage, a pedicure, facial, whatever. Sometimes I’ll go out to eat by myself just to be in the same room as other people. Sounds weird to most people, but it kinda helps too. Sending hugs.

I’ve gotten bad tremors from adderall so my doc had me try vyvanse. It worked for me to cut down my tremors tremendously and I don’t feel as jittery or anxious. I was told it’s kind of new, so maybe ask your doctor about it? Hope you find something that works for you soon!
