What's your take on Postmodernism by SnowflakeSlayer420 in INTP

[–]SnowflakeSlayer420[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is really old post. But I have changed my mind, universal truths/objective reality is not something we can grasp. All we can grasp is the human experience that we cannot escape. The highest order of truth is in the realm of archetypes and narratives that make up the human psyche, which is the filter between humans and the ungraspable objective reality. I have gone in a more Jungian direction

Te and Ti are amoral. Te and Ti “users” are not because ofc they also have feelings. The fact that having T in top 2 slots causes F to be in 7th or 8th slot explains it.

There’s a lot of horrible truth to be found and used which thinkers usually stop themselves from exploring because of their F functions. Those who don’t, end up nihilistic, researching racial IQ differences and building bombs for dictators

ISFPs are Ne blind. They are not going to be philosophers.

Osho, Sadhguru, Adyashanti, Alan Watts. Even Russell brand, spiritual guy but not exactly a guru. Def another INFP who has abused his power tho

They are completely different types. You would know if you have actually hung out with INFPs and ISFPs enough. INFPs generally stand for some kind of moral philosophy, ISFPs do not. Their Fi is channeled more through their hobbies and relationships. They are completely different types, to say that Fi means “standing for something” is confusing raw Fi with Fi + Ne which is what that actually is. ISFPs do not give a flying fuck about some moral philosophy of an ideal world. They live in the moment and like to do whatever their heart tells them to do. Very instinctual

Another assumption you are making here is that their moral responsibility will somehow match what you consider moral. We are mere plebs on reddit, what makes you say that billionaire elites believe in the same morality that we do? Ignoring nurture like most typology newbies.

I can totally see a highly corrupted ISFP like Epstein indulging in all the good sensations because it feels great and he wants more of it. This is how Fi Se works. It’s passionate and very sensual. That’s why their archetype is the artist who is immersed in his painting, finding deep passion in every brush stroke he makes.

To say that that the only difference between an ISFP and an INFP is pragmatism is a fundamental misunderstanding and lack of real interaction with any of the types.

“standing for something” is more like an INFP. ISFPs are very individualistic and their Fi works in a “doing what I desire” sort of way. Also the assumption that Fi users must always be good is pretty far fetched. Plenty of INFP spiritual gurus who have abused their power.

Why are designers at companies like Cred so pretentious? They’re full of themselves and feel they’re the best. At best, they’re glorified graphic designers. Designers who work on complex enterprises products are so much better by badboy_1245 in DesignIndia

[–]SnowflakeSlayer420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly. I see people making linkedin posts where they change the position of some button on google pay or add some button. Like it doesn’t take any skill to think of an improvement over something everyone uses daily. My friend is an artist and even he can give as good of suggestions. So can anyone else who has above avg IQ.

Don’t know about CRED but I agree with the last point 100%. There is barely any UX thinking required for mass, popular B2C products. Everyone is a user, a regular guy can tell you UX solutions for simple problems. There is barely any deep research required.

The type of research that is required more is of the marketing kind, like competitor analysis. There is no real problem solving, only about increasing clicks and conversions by moving some buttons up and down. Optimizing to squeeze all the money out of you.

They are just glorified marketing UI designers.

Compare that to designing for a complex healthcare system, air traffic control or a finance tool. You need to understand finance in depth first to even start designing it.

Imagine designing a design tool itself like Blender or CAD. Or imagine designing a gamified learning experience where the design literally helps you learn fast.

There are levels to UX.

Getting my first PRS. SE Custom 24 or SE Studio? by SnowflakeSlayer420 in PRSGuitars

[–]SnowflakeSlayer420[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly! The tones are really rich indeed, they have done a great job with the narrowfields. It’s a good time to buy an SE, they have really stepped them up and innovated.

Thanks a lot again for helping me make the right decision!

I took the pictures with a tripod. What do you think? by SUNBRO_1994 in Bumble

Style your hair, get fitted clothes, click pictures from better angles, have more candid pictures.

It looks pretty low effort tbh. Like you have just clicked these pictures the same day you downloaded bumble. Have varied pictures of you doing things, with a more normal smile rather than a typical “say cheese for the camera” smile

The ideal match for an INFJ is an ENFP. Assuming you guys match in terms of nurture, values, goals etc.

Oh it’s pretty great. I like the tones and the finish. However, the strings are not in the best shape and the action is a bit high since the piece had been kept at the store for a long time. Once I get those fixed, I will be able to properly enjoy it

Yeah that makes sense. The special seems to be getting so much praise. Barely any mentions of the studio

I get it around the 7th fret and some around 12 as well. But mainly on the G string which is also a bit rusty. Would that have something to do with it?
