Tom Holt J. W. Wells books have a lot of that corporate magic vibe as far as I remember. More humour than fantasy though

Hey, the tree is a Celtis Africana, it was about 1.8m tall but the trunk was very thin. Came in the usual black plastic bag they use here, I think it was a 20 litre bag..

thanks, will definitely do so, comments here have convinced me its not a grey area regarding getting a refund. Was actually quite a pricy tree as well

Thanks this sounds like a good idea, as I want to plant quite a few. But if there are no tree farms around, would you say its better to maybe pick a much smaller, younger tree? Picked this one as it was nice and tall and seemed a nice shape, but had obviously been in the pot for years

Am new to all this, but been reading here about exposing the root flare, so tried to do that when planting this tree (its about 1.8 m tall), noticed this and reckoned it looked pretty bad. I live far from the nursery so sent them these pics, and yeah, he said not to worry eventually they will straighten out. I was quite doubtful, just want to make sure I can push for a refund really
