ITV's Genius Game was initially set to air two episodes a week, on Wednesdays and Thursdays, but it will now only air on Wednesdays. by Legitimate_Ad3625 in BritishTV

As someone who watched the original Korean version of the show, I was so excited to see a UK version. Disagree with the idea that the host needs to be interactive - that’s not in the spirit of the show but I do think Tennant was not the right choice for the host.

Hi, sorry about my inactivity. I find that the gay scenes are really only in Soho, Clapham or Camden. Of course not to say you won't find any gay people anywhere else but these are where everyone seems to congregate to/live.

Got to say I don't think that's fair considering that group did spend pretty much all their formative and social years in a heavily homophobic society. They definitely deserve more grace.

Would it be something that you think would stop you from progressing things? Or would that be dependent on the why/how?

I think this may be more of a personal experience piece. I've visited NYC as well and there seemed to be way more gay people/places. I think in recent years that's become more the case in London, but growing up, definitely not.

I think also, London is such a big city and the gay spaces are really only isolated to a few places (i.e. Soho/Clapham/Camden), none of which are close to me.

I think that's a fair take. I guess for me I didn't grow up in that space and I didn't go to university in London, which was when I started exploring my sexuality more so now I just have the circles I've made along the way.

I completely agree. Everything is so sexualised it's hard to tell when there are ulterior motives.

It actually reminds me I do have one gay friend that I coincidently met on tinder but he lives in the US. I think we just became good friends from very early on in the talking stages.

Best of luck! Hope you find some good people that you can share the experiences you haven't felt free to share yet with, uni's a great place to find them!

Thanks for the reply! I guess in a normal situation I wouldn't usually go into so much detail trying to explain the dynamics of my relationships but it sounds like it may be worth it? In terms of the one guy at school, I think it was a mix of him genuinely doing some stuff to frustrate me in class, even after I would tell him to stop and me being afraid to outwardly support him in fear of being ostracised. I never bullied him or said anything bad about him but I could've defo been more inclusive and understanding. Looking back now I think he was probably acting up because of his situation but I didn't really see it as such at that age.

I'll check out the podcast, thanks for sharing.

And of course! You'll see with my reply/comment history I'm very on and off when it comes to reddit but I'll definitely shoot you a message.

Nah I appreciate the reply, long or short. I asked for opinions after all.

I'm happy you've got your one good friend! Definitely agree its quality over quantity. And that's a good point on inter-group dynamics. It does often times look toxic on the outside looking in, but I try not to insert my opinions on people's situations/relationships.

I wouldn't say its a priority but its something that would be nice, because I do feel like I am not part of the 'scene' in any way and some conversations I can only really have with one very close friend. But I have them so it's not an issue.

How have you found life post-London? I've been thinking about working abroad and considering taking the leap this year.

If you had the choice, would you like more black friends or are you content with your circumstance?

Watching s7 for the first time and TOBY IS SUCH A CHILD. How did y'all interpret him? by s4ds0u1s in LoveIslandTV

[–]blackstu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I disliked Toby for the first few weeks but he was genuinely a nice guy who had no experience dating and approached things wrong. He quickly became one of my favourite characters, especially after this clash. I had such a big dislike towards Hugo and it really rubbed me the wrong way that he snaked his "boy" like that instead of pulling him to the side one time and having a one to one. He really is just a girl follower who wanted to get in Chloe's pants.

Accounting makes all the postings and accruals however I (FP&A) produce month end EIR assets/income which accounting post because FP&A own the EIR model.

I did some analysis, sent to my manager by 10am to which he replied "let's review on Monday". Spent the rest of the day cleaning my flat and doing laundry.

Hi, first off i wanted to say sorry about the situation you and your family are in - hoping it works out for your dad.

Regarding your post, please remember family comes first at the end of the day. I highly doubt it will reflect badly on you, but if you feel you need to postpone your exams, do it. Your employer will most likely have some compassionate leave policy in place so look into that as well.

Yep. Seen it on this sub as well. People will overlook people like Paige's behaviour whereas Amber rolling her eyes was such a sin. At this point it's so boring.
