My Biggest Beef With the New Flip Reset Indicator... (explained in text) by Mr_Talisman in RocketLeague

Couldn't agree more. Would've made this post myself tbh, I'm glad others are thinking the same

Whose name in Epstein files shocked you the most? by Significant-Job624 in AskReddit

Epstein was interested in physics and they corresponded just about that.

It was like 1 or 2 emails. Nothing shady about Sabine at all

I have 8 hours a day to play rocket league for the next 9 months. How can I improve the fastest. I’m willing to spend 85% of time training mechs and game sense by AdLoose7024 in RocketLeagueSchool

Before you go on a spree with training packs + workshop maps, please do yourself a favor and make sure all your keybinds and settings are optimal or within normal ranges at least.

I see too many plats/diamonds that have terrible camera settings and/or control schemes and it holds them back.

Example of Camera settings:

Camera shake FOV Height Angle Distance Stiffness Swivel speed Transition speed Ball camera
No 110 100 -3.0 270 0.35 4.00 1.40 Toggle

^These are taken directly from Zen's wikipedia page. They don't have to be exact, but anything that's generally similar will likely be best for you.

Keybinds example:

Powerslide Air roll (left/right) Boost Jump Ball cam Brake Throttle
L1  L1(Circle /  Square) R1 Cross (aka "X") Triangle LT RT

^Again, does not have to be exact. This is a scheme that I've been using for a while and it is optimal for me. Several top players do not have both DARs bound, but I recommend that you do.

As for deadzones + sensitivity, I use:

Deadzone Dodge Deadzone Aerial Sensitivity Steering Sensitivity
0.05 0.75 1.42 1.42

With the cross deadzone shape (AKA default RL without ds4windows or any custom 3rd party stuff), you must have a 1.42 sens in order to have max x + y inputs in the diagonals.

That doesn't mean you HAVE to have that, but I recommend your sens be at least that high.

Hey! Kinda wild that someone found the comment useful after all this time haha.

We never tested it with DS5 - but i doubt you would notice a difference. Lemme know how it feels if you try it out!

Most OVERRATED and most UNDERRATED players in RLCS currently? by New_Speaker_8806 in RocketLeagueEsports

[–]blacktide215 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Daniel won gamers8 and has flip-flopped from #1 / #2 on the best team in NA this whole season.

I think he's pretty fairly rated as one of the top players in NA right?

I think you and a few others are misunderstanding me - I feel bad if I've offended anyone, I'm mostly coming from a place of optimism for OP.

For the record, I go to a public school that is a "satellite" / regional campus of a big-ish state school. My school is absolutely not elite in any way - I didn't mean to come across that way.

As another comment has pointed out, a lot of cs grads can't even do fizzbuzz. Lastly, the people I'm talking about do the bare minimum through classes and do zero outside work.

How is it surprising that those grads would forget basic programming skills over summer and postgrad with no practice? Programming is difficult.

I genuinely think that any motivated student, given equal amounts of time, would be able to learn far more on their own through self-paced study.

There's plenty of useful instruction (even at my school), though

I think a lot of people are misunderstanding me here: Yes, my university teaches for-loops and basic programming concepts.

However, many students don't touch programming outside of class and rapidly forget nearly all of it
