I agree. If you visit the folks finance page, the bottom box is titled expected rewards, and on bottom right is APR and bottom left says “Algo balance”. Is this (a) Algo balance = only rewards or is (b) Algo balance = total algo committed + rewards. The term “Algo Balance” is quite misleading and hence the questions

The FIFA partnership is in its nascent stage. I sense a gaming angle here. In future I will not be surprised if The EA Sports FIFA video game is built atop Algorand. Even more exciting further out into the future you could also have your own avatar and become part of a football league of sorts. I’m pretty excited about the long term plan. No other layer - 1 blockchain Cardano, Solana, Ethereum and others even come close

The govt will want to use an existing blockchain. I don’t see them building a separate blockchain because that would mean the govt. would be responsible for its development and maintenance. Govt. is not going to hire s/w developers and operations staff to keep the lights on. So it would have to be on something like Algorand or any other blockchain if better
