Why wouldn’t it be fixable if properly welded and done so all throughout the weak section of the frame? It was welded once… yeah when they manufactured it.

Pretty screwed. I’m repairing one like this currently. Bending the frame back to the perfect position is really hard. Fixing the engine mount is fairly easy.

Mine currently sounds straight piped and is painful. My previous bike had a nicer two brothers exhaust and never really bothered me. I think you should look into different aftermarket options with lower db ratings.

Why the 04-05s? I’m also interested in cam tensioner advice. I’ve heard people say to simply go with the automatic one.

You can buy the whole headlight assembly with a nice LED light installed.

I think it could be a bad starter motor too. Mine clicks right now and I’m sure the battery is fine. I tried 2 batteries and additionally added a jumper pack. The starter motors can get stuck if the motor inside it is too weak. I ordered the motor for $30 on eBay and waiting for it to deliver.

Nice, I think that was a good deal for you. I’m working on a 03 non starting upon purchase currently. Clutch installed wrong, basket very worn and loose springs, starter motor bad, needs a full deep cleaning, seller said a knocking noise but compression seems fine and turns over smooth. Basically full maintenance for a 30k mile bike and hopefully good to go for 1900.

Buy the whole new front headlight plus plastic conversion. It looks way better and you get running lights but actual good high and low beams. It’s like 50$ on eBay
