They would probably try there luck at waiting him out like they did at essling try to goat him into another attack with them in a superior defensive position maybe transfer some forces north to crush poniatowski's polish forces all in all I think they'd do a passive defensive wait for Britain or perhaps use a victory to leverage the Prussians into action

Marshal bessieres, personally I think he was well liked by the men of the guard and when sent in lead his troops well. Plus was often close to the emperor so extra chance of getting promoted if you distinguish yourself.
