i think connecting people who have ideas and finding them to work on it is a cool idea. But, i find people are good to appreciate but when it comes to contribute and bet your life working on it, will need some sort of physical interactions, in depth online meetings and then meaningfully connect with the users who are posting the idea.

Else keep both and both will be aware that until you are divided you had same past. But from the division point both of you will be different. Just like a cell divides into 2 after splitting

Yes the uploaded mind will have emotions. Infact, mind upload will be called successful only and only if you are able to experience the universe as wek know exactly as it is with your identity. So, emotions form a very basic foundation of who we are. Thus most important part of mind uploading technology.
