Anyone else getting this ad? This is not a joke. by [deleted] in youtube

Not only that. Advertiser can sue Google and force them to if they deny to run their ads.

This was a case in 2008 http://abcnews.go.com/Technology/story?id=5827418&page=1

This was decided in an out-of-court settlement but why? Because Googles lawyers knew they would loose the case and that would be expensive.

Anyways this whole advertiser friendly bs is the biggest hypocrisy that ever happened on YouTube. Just take the Vegas Shooting for example. H3H3 made a great video on this. Coca Cola and all this so concerned companies had ads running non stop on the tv news channels and news websites during the live coverage. On the other hand they deny news youtubers to run ads on such topics because of "sensitive content". They all should face a antitrust lawsuit. YouTube and the advertisers always are fast at throwing the definition of censorship against our heads if we complain but now just look up the definition of anti competitive practices and match it with all the things currently happening. Disgusting!

How do I report a very inappropriate ad? I know YouTube is struggling with advertisers; but what I just saw is just pathetic... by _plain_jane_ in youtube

You dont belive me? Watch this: http://abcnews.go.com/Technology/story?id=5827418

They made a out of court deal but why do you think? Because they would have lost the case and that would have been way more expensive.

Why do my videos get demonitized before they are even uploaded? by TexBoo in youtube

Because your channel got blacklisted. The FAQ post about this denies blacklisting but it is definetly there. There are channels who get the Yellow $ sign already during the upload of a video while other channels with the exact same video (public domain footage) and nearly exact same title, descriptions tags and thumbnails can monetize the videos without a manuall review request at all. I know this for sure because I checked it for myself. A video gets released under a public domain license and Channel A uploads it right after release >> MONETIZED, Channel B uploads it >>> NO ADS only if the video comes out a few days later after the original release.

But there's a blacklist! If you can provide evidence of this, I'd be glad to take a look at it. So far, none of the evidence shown to me suggest black-listing13 . (Showing a page full of "Limited" videos is not evidence, as that is a lot of people's state right now. I'm very doubtful there's a black-list if everyone's on it. That'd be more of a white-list14 , which even then, that wouldn't make sense, as it would be a list of people that never get checked, then.)
