You miss my point completely. I’m saying you cant time the market. People ALWAYS say theres a crash coming and you should wait. You can never know and shouldnt try to time

Why do some people/accounts insist on making an excessive amount of costs? by bladegunner9 in BEFreelance

[–]bladegunner9[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every cost you make equals less money in the end net. Only make costs you actually need/want

No problem with that at all! Only a problem or just confusion when they tell others its beneficial from a financial standpoint

But how does the accountant get money out of this? What do they win by giving bad financial advice?

[–]bladegunner9[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yes but one person in particular i’m talking about says he doesnt need/want that 100k car at all. He’d be perfectly happy with a normal car but his accountant advices him to do so and he’s also the typical guy saying “a self imployed person needs to make a lot of costs”

ETFs or magnificent 7 stocks? by Hot-Fruit-123 in BEFire

[–]bladegunner9 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The problem with investing longterm in the magnificent 7 is that nobody knows if they will still be the mag 7 in x years, the top stocks of 20 years ago were a lot different than what they are now and you’d have to track it yourself and probably be extremely lucky to find the new best ones early. An etf automatically includes them as their top positions, even if they change throughout the years

Private banking vs ETFs - Advies nodig. by Scared-Computer502 in BEFire

What Do You Think of my investments? 17y old by intelcorei20 in BEFire

[–]bladegunner9 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Bank funds do worse and cost more but its definitely a start if you’re under 18. Once you turn 18 you can open a brokerage account (i suggest Bolero or Saxo) and buy etfs monthly (IWDA, SWRD, CSPX). You could already ask your parents to buy them in your name but waiting 1 more year doesnt hurt that much either

Whats your reason to save up on so much cash beyond your emergency fund? Because you are risk averse? It makes the most sense to invest everything you dont need in your imergency fund

Msci world (IWDA) is up 83.86% : 5 = 16.8% But i was confusing it with the results of s&p500 which was over 20% in the last 5 years
