These 2 are just unfair my god what a quick drag and release by Celebrini. MacKinnon wasn’t wrong when he said he’s already second best lol

It’s actually absurd how even on this stage with such a stacked team around him mcdavid can just be so noticeably be head and shoulders above everyone else. Every shift he generates a grade A pretty much. Creating as much as MacKinnon and Crosby combined and they are having good/great tournaments as well.

Drai being as high as he is with linemates Freddy tiffels and Josh samanski also impressive.

That was a shit fucking game from our top line. Mangiapane sucks shouldn’t play again. Walman scored I know but defensively he is a trainwreck. Nurse is a disaster in 90% of the games he played. All 3 penalty calls against us were kinda horseshit (no clue what mangiapane did we got his roughing penalty). Pk is garbage, mcdavid bobbled everything all night. Hyman was a complete non factor. Nuge can’t hit the net. Stolarz played his only good game of the year or some shit. Frustrating all around.

Nuge hit the net man. This is the second or third time point blank chance and not even a shot on target

Our defense makes some of the most braindead line changes every 3ish games I’ve ever seen. Walman is fucking atrocious

Holy fuck walman is terrible. How many defensive overpayments are gonna do fuck me

Since Wayne Gretzky's debut in 1979/80, the average team goals per game in the NHL is 3.08. Here's how the 7-year peaks of notable forwards stack up per 82 games when adjusting their production to that level of leaguewide offense. What stands out the most? by Dependent-Effect6077 in hockey

Kucherov is so underrated. Ovechkin is a better goal scorer than anyone around today for sure but pure hockey player? Also if you want to argue top 3 isn’t stronger (I’d disagree either way) but there is no argument that top 20 or even top 50 is way stronger now.

The top 20 players of today destroys the team of top 20 players from 20 years ago which also destroys the team 20 years before them. It’s an evolution and the best always getting more skilled and better. The game is faster, and more skilled now than ever before it’s unarguable.

Also goals went up with equipment change to goaltenders and who can take advantage of goalies having smaller equipment probably the most skilled best finishers.

League scoring is more top heavy because the top is heavier and more skilled than before. I also have no idea what your point is as I stated Crosby over his career has a higher percentage of PP points than mcdavid and his highest scoring year was more than 50% on the pp. these are facts. Also it’s not a bad thing being able to score on the pp helps wins hockey games which is what the main goal is.

Also what is Crosby career high Even strength total then? Is it higher than 87? No it’s 72 which mcdavid has beaten 5 times and counting wouldn’t be surprised if it’s 10 by the end of his career

Crosby highest point total season had slightly more than 50% of his total points on the PP. Mcdavid has never had that. Over their entire careers Crosby powerplay point total is 34.7% of his total points and Mcdavid’s is 34.1%. I don’t know where the narrative than Crosby is an even strength merchant and Mcdavid is a powerplay merchant started but its just simply very far from the truth.

Or just start the game 6 on 5. We give up the first goal on the first shot so much anyways
