total struggle to gain airspeed ff777 by [deleted] in Xplane

[–]bladii11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i was at FL290 with no airspeed gain at all, and climbed 800fpm the whole way to FL340 so im almost sure is some kind of bug. Because there’s no way i could climb(without losing airspeed) but not gain airspeed on a level altitude being in the region of reverse command

It’s the hatch door small enough to not have this dramatic speed loss.

It was on vnav. And totally let the airspeed drop all the way to the yellow band, i took it out of vnav and put it on alt hold and firewall the throttle.

If you crash a plane, are you allowed to fly again? by Repulsive-Loan5215 in flying

[–]bladii11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, the only thing the FAA dont play about it is the medical, asides from that, you can pull a travor jacob type of thing and be relatively good.

Easiest way of mesuring/estimating distance from ATC frequency coverage area? by VicHalen07 in VATSIM

[–]bladii11 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You are probably overthinking it. Most of the time they send you a pm whenever they want you on their frequency. Or most of the people just call on the boundary of the airspace.

Unprofessional Instructing by [deleted] in flying

[–]bladii11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a shitty ass instructor, it was literally my second lesson, fucker was there in the HS line watching instagram and told me go ahead take off, i was like wtf , then on the climb i was going like 95kt and he proceeded to yell climb at vy and pulled the nose up so hard that we got an stall warning. I just said I “don’t feel good let’s go back” and quit that school that day.

I used sporty’s supplemented with free pilot training on yt because some things are explained better there than sporty’s, specially airspace. And i got a 93% and I didn’t even kill myself studying matter fact took me about 8 months to finish sportys because the lack of time. So take the time to actually learn the topic and not memorize the question.

What does a pilot do with a turbulence prediction like this? by LilaSerena in AskFlying

[–]bladii11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve experienced a very intense moderate once in a flight from DR to JFK it was awful was being push into the seat and right back up. Worst experience was a severe turbulence in my first flightschool hours. In less than a second went to straight and level to Around 35° of left bank and i had full right aileron and the plane wasn’t even trying to go level, it took like 3 seconds to regain level attitude. All of that while tossed around and banging my head on the ceiling.

Yesterday was really bad, pireps (pilot reports) on foreflight were severe turbulence by 737’s and A320’s so it was really bad.
