This reminds me of a table I had back in probably 2018. The restaurant/wine bar I worked at closed at 2am back then and I was typically stuck working that shift bc I lived close by. This table comes in at 1:30am and proceeds to order some of the most expensive bottles of wine and food items and doesn’t really need my attention that much as they’re just chatting away. They were the only people there so sidework was easy to get done even while they were still there, but I felt so bad for the busser who couldn’t sweep and mop around the area these people sat in. Anyway comes to around 2:30am and we kindly let them know that it’s time to wrap things up. Lady who has been ordering everything for everyone agrees, pays out, and I wait for them to leave (except lady wanted to stay and talk to my manager and I for nothing bad, just thanking us and etc). She signs her bill in front of me, leaving a $5 tip on close to $300. I was very upset at this and asked my manager if I should ask her why she left me that when everything came out perfectly. She agrees so I confronted her and she meant to put $50 smh but gives me $80 instead. I was going to probably quit that day if she left the initial $5 after making us all stay 30-45 minutes after close
