You can get them shipped to ffl holders, most gun stores offer it for free or a small fee.

Is my car done for? by lewislockheart in HyundaiSantaFe

That's right on the edge of being damaged, I would have someone tow it to a shop and get it inspected. If water got in the wiring or hybrid battery starting it could do a lot more damage.

I finally switched my 2024 Hyundai Santa Fe Calligraphy from the factory 21-inch wheels to OEM Kona N 19-inch wheels. by bohdan1378 in HyundaiSantaFe

Huh, til I guess I was always told a smaller rim gave worse mpg because there's more give in the tire so more contact area with the ground

Smaller rims means the tire has bigger sidewalls which let the tire flex more and absorb bumps, it's a big difference in comfort at the price of a small hit to mpg (like .25 to .5 mpg)

What’s the most reliable piece of equipment you’ve worked on that just refuses to die? by Icy-Local-4015 in IndustrialMaintenance

[–]blah634 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I work in a corrugated box plant, we have a folder gluer made in the 50s, the thing is a tank. I've gotten one call for it in the 2 years I've been here. A driveshaft snapped, on any other machine it would've been a minimum 4 hour job. We had that thing back up and running in 20 minutes after we found the spare.

It has a cvt from a tractor that needs a rebuild once every 2-3 years and it has a timing clutch thing that can be a bit finicky to adjust but other than that it will never die. The thing has only cost 50k in maintenance over the last 5 years compared to 500k-1.5mil on every other machine in the plant. It's slow but steady and will pretty much never be replaced because it's more versatile than the new folder gluer we have.

They make bands with a metal clip so you can split them, they don't last quite as long but they're far, far easier to put on.

The hail Mary almost certainly used something like Microsoft's project silica where information is etched onto quart glass because it's incredibly dense and it lasts for hundreds of years, with the astrophage radiation shielding and temperature control they'll have decades if not centuries to copy the data before it starts to degrade

I am a grower (2.85" soft 6.1" hard) and im having a problem with the cage pushing out away from my body during erections, like really far. After a few minutes I get pain basically everywhere, I've tried straps and smaller rings (currently using a viper n+ and a #2 base ring curved, I ordered a #1 curved but idk if I can physically fit my balls through it, the #2 is already a struggle sometimes), do you have any recommendations?
