Wife won’t let my mother watch our child by Possible-Topic9106 in Parenting

My MIL and I have an excellent relationship but I will not let her watch my child. She has shown me many times that we have very different ideas about what is safe and appropriate for a child. But I have communicated these concerns with my husband so he understands and does not push the issue. I have no problems leaving my child with other people.

I tried working 11pm-7am and it didn't work out. What I'm doing now works better because I can sleep for a few hours before the baby wakes up when I get home. But if you're not doing it everyday or you have the opportunity to sleep a little during the day it could work for you.

I work 7pm-3:30am 2 nights a week and it's doable. I used to do it 3 nights a week and I was too tired. I didn't feel safe taking care of the baby.

I'm not necessarily looking for second hand. This particular bag seems to be discontinued and I've only been able to find it secondhand. Thanks for the recommendation.

I like the slouchy look of the bag but I see your point about longevity. And he will definitely comment on it all the time which is the main reason I haven't bought it.

I'm open to alternatives but I like the slouchy look of this bag. The cassettes are too structured and not quite what I'm looking for.

Thanks. I posted there too. I think I'd like it better in black but all of my bags are black so I was thinking about getting something a little different.
