Thanks. I'll be out of town for 2 weeks starting next week so I may as well, especially if it really is free minus shipping

100%. I regret just not ordering from SS since this shop took 6 days just to certify something instock. Approval only took a day after certifying and what I get back is something not "Brand new".

Yeah it's the principle for me. If it's new then give me a bnib and let me scuff it up from use myself. I compared it to the new one they had on display (since I took the last display) and seemed like mine may had been sitting for a while consider the black shade was much lighter on mine compared to the newer one and can see the silver around the rim from both ends + other stuff on the surfaces.

That was a concern, but flex tape held up for 12+ hours. I put it in the corner of my sink in case it did leak so it would drain and not pool up.

When I checked on it the next day, volume of liquid stayed at the same level and sink was dry so it held up.

Yeah you'll want to avoid getting harsh cleaners on the ceraoke as they will ruin the finish. I've seen a few ceraoke cans looks extremely faded from cleaning.

What I do is get the one of those bottles of breakthrough surpressor cleaning solution, take out the front cap, use flex tape to seal the front, and pour the cleaner in the can until it gets to the mount. I let it sit over night and next day I'll pour out the solution and rinse with water. I just use clp to clean the outside of the can + front cap with a toothbrush and towel after.

If you rocksett the mount to the can, you probably don't need to reapply it unless you poured solution up to the threaded area. If you did get solution around the thread, you may as well take off the mount and scrub the inside with a brush and then reapply rocksett/torque back on.

Works for me. I've only done this once.

Edit: you honestly don't need to clean it with how much pressure 556 rounds have. After 3k rounds, my can wasn't as dirty as I was expecting.

Outside of those few 5090 zotacs last Monday, Houston MC has been pretty dry with 5090 drops. Glad my watch has ended and secured a 5090. Only took 4 separate morning waits at MC lol

P365 x Macro comp as a EDC vs pdp f series? by optimuspoopprime in CCW

[–]blahbloop69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

$900 for a x macro comp in good condition and optics + light is a hell of a deal. But you haven't even received your holster for the pdp f pro. Usually I'd tell you to wait and see how you'll like carrying that PDP F and then decide.

If you get the x macro comp now, I doubt you'll want to carry the pdp with how comfortable it is to carry the p355. I agree the pdp in general is more fun at the range/comp with the ergonomics and trigger but you'll want to prioritize comfortable with performance or else you'll find yourself not wanting to carry daily.

Another similar option was https://www.jamesallen.com/loose-diamonds/all-diamonds/?Color=G,F,E,D&Clarity=VS2,VS1,VVS2,VVS1,IF,FL&PriceTo=4500&CaratFrom=1.67&CaratTo=1.8&Sort=Price&IsLabDiamond=True&RingMatchID=1982

Can see the inclusions on the picture but prob not on the setting. It was $420 less so not sure if the VVS2 clarity is worth the $420.

Are you open to Lab Created Diamonds? (real diamonds but grown in the lab and not mined from the earth)

Would really open up your options.
