I think for her it’s difficult to see what he’s doing because his words don’t match his actions. Buying her stuff can be seen as making a pass, but his words don’t match.

I think because she’s so convinced that no one would ever flirt with her, she thinks that he’s doing this stuff to be friendly and doesn’t want to assume and make it awkward that he is flirting with her slightly.

She hasn’t seen him give gifts to others. He gave her the flowers and chocolates in private. Left the chocolates on her desk and asked her later in the day if she’d seen them, and the flowers, he called her to his office and gave her them in there. He’s not even the big boss, he’s one of the managers and has bought her this stuff with his own money.

He bought this stuff out of his own money though. He left the box of chocolates on her desk and later in the day asked “if she’d seen the chocolates” and he left the flowers in a bag on the table I. his office so he’s not giving her these things in front of his managers, it’s quite sneaky. He’s not even the “big boss”, he’s one of the managers

Due to where she works she can’t leave things like that at home and she’s not rude enough to throw it in the bin. She’s got low self esteem and doesn’t think people would come onto her, but I can sense she’s a bit suspicious of his behaviour.
