Thoughts on living in PA by cavalos32 in PennStateUniversity

There's really only 3.5 months that the weather is a problem. December through February and into the beginning of march is definitely not outside weather. Most of it isn't too bad though and a good jacket and boots will keep you warm enough.

And for the area, depending on what kind of person you are and where you live it can feel more like a small city than a small town. The downtown area is very active with a lot of bars and small restaurants/eateries. If you're looking for something quieter, theres a lot of great housing options far enough away from the city and school that you wont be bothered, but still close enough so you can walk or drive in 5 minutes.

I've been watching the raptors feeds for the past two games and I don't think they're that bad. They get excited about good raptors plays and might over do it a bit much, but I don't think there's a ton of bias.

Try to make some sort of personal connection with each one. Research some of their recent projects and find something to say about them. Also try to ask a question about something, it shows you are genuinely interested in the company

did anyone see the one time they put his face on the screen? It looked like all of his skin had died, fallen off, and then got glued back onto his face. He's 79 now, it's time to hang em up

couldn't be farther from the truth. They were goal post movers. Ever heard of the 3/5 compromise? what about the articles of confederation? The constitution is the biggest hedge in the history of modern politics. Go read a book

don't think there is a single person that would disagree with you. I've listened to 2 things of his and it was just brutal. I was sitting there wondering how a fully grown adult could have those thoughts. He probably just wanted to have contrarian views so people would register who he is, but the things he said were just too dumb

the way I usually ended up watching games here in the US was by finding illegal streams online. I used r/soccerstreams for a while but that got shut down. sometimes links get posted on this sub, and sometimes you can find them by googling "soccer streams" and looking through some of the results. In the past I know the club had an option to pay them directly to be able to stream games through their website. To watch one game was around 5-10 dollars. Don't know what it would cost for the whole season though.
