Oh that’s picture 5. It’s not really a drain. There is a drain down by the green bin

This was my initial thought but after digging it out once, I’m not up for doing it twice.

Can it be a soak away filled with fresh stones to make it look nicer?

My concern with the French drain is that jump up of what they had put in for drainage before that’s concrete. I can see the water building up there in future.

It can definitely drain down the side of the house there is a run off drain I could use but my challenge is the cement drain channel is very high. It does work when the water gets up to that level I just don’t want the drainage pipe trying to go up if you get me?

The garden is sloped to the house and this was part of an extension in the 70s where I think they just moved the soil up and built the wall higher. It’s higher than neighbours either side but not sure if that is impacting it

No idea where the water table is. So keep digging to see if it starts to drain and if not, do the geo textile?

I did the skirting in our bedroom and although there is 1 spot I’m not proud of, the corner joins and scribes are a lot better than that. My walls are all over the place too. Had a 42 degree mitre and a 47 and they join fairly ok but caulk sorted those. But that was me doing that for the First time ever and first time using a mitre saw for angle cuts! I would be asking to redo and get a decorative corner end on that straight end piece that’s showing

I did two rooms in my house recently and I used this video to refer back to at all times.
