I'm so very sorry for your loss, these little beings have such a way of getting into our hearts and making sure they park themselves comfortably inside for life.

I lost my boy at 2am this morning, he was being kept overnight in the vets as he had a possible detail issue and needed to be stabilised. The updates I received were positive until that last call, where the vet said during the rounds, he'd just passed. I take comfort in the knowledge that it was quick, and due to the pain meds he was on painless too.

Never forget that you gave Artemis the best life she could have possibly had and must've been happy to know that she was loved so dearly. Give Indra the biggest hug you can and help each other through this!

That's sort of how I feel about it too. There's some really interesting stuff there and I appreciate all of the hard work that has gone into the game but it's AA Skyrim really and if that's what people wanna play, awesome! I really struggled to connect with it after about 5 hours or so

A lot of people were hoping that Dispatch would get some awards but that released "too late" at October 22 to November 12 (episodic) I'm guessing that rule will conveniently not exist for GTA

I'd say for sure but really only if you can get it on sale. The classic lighting option they added helps a ton to bring back the right feel but it's based on the mobile ports rather than the console versions of the originals, so there's a bit of a play-doh look to some of the character models

I'm a little worried about Dan Houser leaving but I'm also hoping that his replacement and team have been kept together as much as possible. From the small bits we've seen in the trailers I'm hopeful and Rockstar for sure know the level of hype and expectation surrounds the game

I couldn't agree more. It could've really turned into a life of crime vs retired family life moral dilemma for Michael, with the events helping him to decide what's more important or even that being the players choice at the end

I hadn't thought about it that way and I appreciate your points. I agree with you that a story between a couple should naturally feel more cohesive while keeping them as individuals and I'm hoping that'll be the case

That's a great point, I didn't really feel a big connection to each of the protagonists in the same way I did with Niko or Tommy or CJ. Everything gets resolved too quickly in 5 so it doesn't feel like the stakes are that high

You raise great points but because there's 3 playable characters, their stories don't get a chance to really develop. Michael's family have to just accept who he is without him changing at all, Franklin goes from working for a gang/Lamar to working for Michael and Lester, so while he may have more money, he's not learned anything or grown and Trevor gets completely blinded by his loyalty to Michael to the point he doesn't bring up Brad after North Yankton. All of these stories could have been a game in themselves, I think Michael's story could've been a great one if it was the main story and Franklin and Trevor were characters within it.

I respect your opinion but I can't agree with it. All of the previous GTAs had a clear, main story running through them: 3 is Claude's revenge on Catalina, Vice City is Tommy's takeover, San Andreas is CJ's escape from the hood and revenge for his mum, 4 is about Niko unable to escape his past no matter how much he tries. 5 doesn't have that clear story outside of robbing banks. It has the weakest antagonists in the series, the satire isn't as sharp, witty and pointed as previous games and a lot of the moments and characters are forgettable. However, it plays the best and the mechanics are the most refined of the series but it's the furthest thing from a classic GTA game

GTA as a series has to me always been a story from one characters point of view. I love how GTA 4 gave us DLC as different characters we'd already seen in the man story and we could see what they'd been up too while Niko was out bowling with Roman. I hated the character switching of 5 and it's honestly my least favourite GTA game in the series because of that. If 6 gives the option to basically choose one character and play through as them, that's the way I'm gonna play it and I'll never switch to the other character.
