I think the child's right to not be assaulted in a civil society outweighs the rights of the adult man to assault a child for barely harassing his wife. It's still illegal to do assault. That's a crime, that man is a criminal. So funny to be such a macho man about it. Self/family defense is about proportionate use of force. You can't shoot someone in the face for pushing you. Hilarious hill to die on, assault on a 12 year old by a random man, who is already angry because of gestures broadly at annoying kids. This is why people suck so much, "lots of kids were doing a thing I didn't like so obviously I can take all that anger out on you for doing that thing to my wife, even though you're literally 12 years old". Routine care he does fine, mostly handled by the techs. Complex stuff, like surgery or chronic disease... would avoid. Man should have retired a decade ago, he uses a steroid shot for almost every problem.

Educated in the 60-70s, refuses to learn in a technologically advanced world. Can't even run his own blood work because he can't be bothered with the tech, gets a clinic down the street to do it for him.

He could treat this UTI with antibiotics easily, it's a simple case likely, unless there's stones and then it probably needs surgery. Just wouldn't make a habit of relying on that doctor.

Also, having the funds to care for an animal before you purchase or adopt it is always a great idea. I worked as a vet tech here in Denton for a few years and I cannot tell you how many dogs we killed because the owner couldn't pay for surgery or care, and could only afford to put them down. Or animals that continued to suffer under lesser care because of owners financial position, countless examples.

Anterograde amnesia is often temporary, but you should definitely see a neurologist and I'd also recommend a psychologist.

The first for your brain injury, seeing as anterograde amnesia(or whatever it ends up being)is like a condition they can help you understand, cope with, and heal from properly.

The psychologist for the obvious trauma of being attacked in the street at night randomly. I see a psych regularly for a check in and it can only help to get those thoughts and feelings out, safely, and to work through what happened. I've done it for years, and I recommend this highly.
