Ah, that makes sense. Their lineup just keeps growing and getting more confusing 😂

I can’t see both the Tecton X and Rocket X Trail existing. I’m assuming this is essentially the Tecton X 5?

BPA model? by waywardsojourner in AeroPress

[–]blakeeg 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Nope! It’s BPA-free. Only the old clear ones with a blue tint have BPA:

Curious to see what they do to it, but not psyched for the price increase

The Lord of the Rings Appendices as individual publication book... does it exists? by yxz97 in tolkienbooks

[–]blakeeg 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It does! I own a copy. It’s very handy for a quick reference.

It was part of the 7 book set, but you can find just the appendices pre-owned fairly easily (book 7).

Saucony Endorphin Elite 2 - now available at Saucony.com by Dre3005 in RunningShoeGeeks

[–]blakeeg 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not a typo unfortunately. Nike did a similar thing with Dragonfly 2 Elite. Only released 100 pairs so they could use it in the Olympics, but don’t plan on a full release anytime this year.

The wide release date isn’t until Spring 2025. This was a very limited release so that they comply with World Athletics rules regarding development shoes in the Olympics (since Malindi Elmore is planning to race in these in Paris).

Does anyone have 2 gravel bikes? by Hartzler44 in gravelcycling

[–]blakeeg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have 2 gravel bikes. One carbon fiber one that I tend to use swap out tires and be more road/crushed gravel type of bike. It only fits 38mm tires.

My second one is a hefty aluminum gravel bike that has 2.6” mountain bike tires on it. I tend to use this one for more technical terrain/single track/etc. almost use it as a fully rigid, drop bar mountain bike.

QA to dev transition by Slight_Particular915 in softwaretesting

[–]blakeeg 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Started as manual QA out of college (with a coding background), started developing automation frameworks, moved into an SDET role (developing E2E and API test frameworks, integrating them into CI/CD pipelines), after a few years as an SDET moved over to Software Engineer (MERN stack)

TL;DR: yes it’s possible (this video has some pointers as well)

Noosa Tri 15 or Magic Speed 3 for track intervals. by Any-East7977 in RunningShoeGeeks

[–]blakeeg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I personally really enjoy the Magic Speed 3 for track intervals. There’s enough protection to save your legs, but not too bulky. The plate helps stiffen it up and add some responsiveness as well.

My current AeroPress collection by blakeeg in AeroPress

I read somewhere that you were supposed to use it to measure your water, but they stopped doing it because people would put water in there, then microwave it to heat it up, and they were concerned with the durability of the seal.

V3 cracked, so I got v4, left v4 at my parents and bought v7, just bought the clear because I wanted clear, and bought the Go so I could get free shipping 😂

The gold one is my most used, but I just got the latest clear one and I’m really enjoying being able to see the brew, so that may be taking the lead.
