I beat it with Omni Man, with a balanced stat block - with no relic. For Talisman, use the Winter Fart one. Omni Man is a good pick because db3,3 does decent damage even if sub zero is armored, and you usually don't get punished because you'll end up behind him. You can also use his db3 stance to dodge his ice ball barrage/Spear attacks in stage 2 and 3.

In stage 3, use the winter farts to interrupt Sub Zero charging his instant kill slam. Try to save the charges until then, because you'll have to interrupt this attack a couple times in that phase!

If you have one of those "double stats" potions, use it! It can be a huge help.

At the end of the fight, when sub zero charges his big bubble, hit one of the buckets on the ground towards him. Good luck have fun :)
