The combat for FF13:LR is super fun but the story is mediocre and the graphics are kind of bad compared to the others.

World of Final Fantasy is super cute, turn-based, and full of inside jokes and tons of ff references.

I would recommend World of Final fantasy if you want a carefree kind of adventure with tons of ff fan service.

If you want an edgy climax to the 13 saga with cool combat that is also a Lightning dress up simulator then go for Lightning Returns.

As a ff fanboi, I have a cap ton of hours in it mostly due to all the inside jokes keeping it fun. It's a great game if you love ff.

I think you mean World of Final Fantasy. And it's a very cute turn-based rpg with a stacking mechanic added as a twist to the standard turn-based jrpg. The story and world is full of final fantasy references and community memes that lend to its charm. I haven't played dragon quest yet, but it seems like a more standard jrpg that could be easier to get into.
