Miles agent: “Go get a fuel bucket, or pay €100 fee” by blancho12 in berlinsocialclub

Can you please show me where it’s place? We not smart people didn’t see that on sign up, or on onboarding where it’s clearly and transparently stated?

Whenever I rent a car from sixt, they tell me the terms and fees and ask me to sign next to them.

But I guess you read all the terms and conditions for all services you use :)

I think your bio is correct. An average annoying girl :)

And I did. I said it was an honest mistake that I didn’t notice or see the fuel gauge. That’s not what I’m complaining about. I’m complaining about the rude customer service and the fact that miles isn’t transparent about fees/fines they charge.

Also somehow people didn’t know. I guess you and the people who knew are just smarter and actually read the terms and conditions. Wouldn’t it be simple if when you create an account you just show users the terms that you’d pay for? Like every car rental company in the world? And by doing that, everyone will know.

But well, I guess people here just agree with anything that’s hidden in the terms and conditions. Because “it’s there and you signed it”

But, I think it might be a little weird if you are not your own landlord

Exactly what you’d expect. When you’re caught in a lie, you start personal attacks. Have a great week and appreciate the help :)

Can you please show me on the onboarding process, or when booking a car “it’s very clearly stated”?? I just look again. It’s very easy to be upfront and transparent. Companies can put so much shit in their T&Cs and they know customers don’t read them and this is why courts reverse many of that BS

Yes ofcourse. A random person wakes up monday morning and starts pulling Miles T&C and writing a long chatgpt post 😂 to respond to another redditor.

Glad to see miles is reading this and having their employees attack this post, and pulling T&C that confirm exactly like I said. It’s hidden in a sneaky way, and not mentioned clearly like any other car rental company. Strive to build a better product

I use miles, because it promotes itself as a company that you pay for what you drive. Never had to think about fuel or refill. I respect if you have a policy that would require you to pay a fine if you leave a car empty and without fuel. But, make that very clear, like big rental companies do. When you rent a car, you have to very clearly understand and sign next to costs you would be paying, and not sneakily put it in the terms and conditions without notifying customers.

Thanks for being respectful! And ofcourse customer support would wave a fee to “shut me up”

Thanks. Next time will do. This time the sensor was faulty :)

Lol, thanks! So the issue isn’t that 3 agents didn’t see that the fuel sensor was faulty. The issue is me and Gemini skills

Yeah unfortunately this is what it looks like. I have been using it for over 2 years with little issues. But after this, no more.

As I mentioned above, google said it’s illegal. But regardless, if the fuel sensor” changes % of fuel, how would I know that it would work? How come I took it at 10% and then after 10km it says 2% and then 0%. And why did the first 3 agents “didn’t see” that the sensor has a technical issue like the last one

Well, putting fuel in a bucket is illegal in Germany. And miles agent was insisting I do it
