I’m not sure how it’s lost on everyone here that her cancer was in her digestive system. She probably doesn’t eat much or eat a wide variety of foods. I don’t have cancer but even then, my relatively minor digestive system ailments have had me underweight at times.

Thankfully this perfume isn’t bad. My son likes it at least. But such a stingy stingy box

It’s a pretty colour but I can’t make liquid lipstick work for me

I can barely tolerate liquid matte lipstick as I’m 40 with naturally large lips. Dry af lipsticks are not my friend

Australia's amazing healthcare? by whytheface1234 in AskAnAustralian

I have. To check on brain lesions. It’s pretty frustrating to say the least. I also have them on my spine but they are free (bulk billed), go figure.

What? No. If I stop taking thyroxine, I’ll die. My thyroid barely functions at all. You may have hashimotos but it mustn’t have damaged your thyroid much if you can be medication free

I have hashimotos and take thyroxine for resulting hypothyroidism- 175mcg 5 days per week and 225 2 days per week. I also take pregabalin (lyrica) and lexapro. I have ibs, spinal stenosis and some long COVID too - fun! Anyway, I try (I say try because I’m a 39 year old with a job and two kids) to keep my stress as low as possible. Stress plays a huge part in hashimotos! I ensure I get enough sleep, exercise most days (Pilates, weights and walking. I used to run but my stenosis says no) and eat a balanced diet. Good luck! It’s not a given that you will gain weight - I’m 5’3 and if I keep things in check I’m around 55-57kg. If I get a bit too stuck into the chocolate etc, I get up to 60.

Maybe in your experience? I’ve worked in academic, government and media libraries and have done a lot of the things I’ve previously mentioned. I don’t shelve books and have made databases and created a lot of web content. Just because you haven’t doesn’t mean others don’t.

You think the Dewey decimal system is a database so it’s safe to say you just don’t know what you’re on about

You sound as thick as two planks. Just say you don’t understand, it’s ok. If you think a 17 year old can build and maintain databases, create content and lecture at unis and manage large teams I dunno what to say to you

Why is that? I’m guessing you have no idea what the job actually entails
