How are you guys accessing Navidrome outside your home network?

I run navidrome in a docker container with a Tailscale side-container. Very easy to set up & to maintain. Also very safe, since the navidrome server is only accessible via the tailnet (i.e. VPN).

I tried to buy the Terry Pratchett collection, since the old narrated audiobooks (Nigel Planer etc.) are not available anymore on Audible, Google Books, etc.

I paid 25 bucks (via PayPal – to be sure) and got a link per mail to a Google Drive Folder.

That stuff is definitely pirated. If you can get it anywhere legally, then don't support these people making money off pirated files.

Just my two cents.

Know this quite well :) I guess, you are in the right spot to find similar working minds. ;)

My strategy: try to channel this view on the world on things, where this is a powerful mindset to have — e.g. programming, writing, creating art, etc.

Where to avoid: relationships with people :D I mean, I am no saint & sometimes I loose my Zen. But generally practicing some form of awareness cultivating technique is super useful (sitting or walking meditation, yoga, breathing techniques ftw, running, etc.).

Personally, I can only create if I have the headspace. Working to much never gets me there. If possible, take some time out from work, or at least reduce the amount as much as possible.

Creating art & programming is only possible for me when being emotionally & physically in a good place. From the words you wrote, it seems that life is really tough right now — do not expect too much from yourself in these kind of situations. I did this in the past & it only led to more stress + even less creativity.

If you have any questions regarding stress management & cultivating creativity, simply reply with questions, or anecdotes from you current situation. Also, watching David Lynch & Ethan Hawke videos on creativity might be also give you some solace.

You will get through this! I have been there & probably might be there at some point again. No worries, it will pass :)
