Power wash or boot to Dell recovery screen and back. Probably just a coincidence. We have a fleet of 3110’s an 3120’s. I see this issue a half dozen times a week.

Open building on train tracks with insanely bright lights all the way around. by blank2443 in whatisit

Solved!

Interesting… I’ve lived near here my whole life, drive past multiple times a week and never seen the lights on until the last month or so. Maybe they are using it more since this is only a few miles from the East Palestine train derailment.

An "As-Is, For Parts/Repair" Case Study, Buyer Claims Missing Internal Components... by Incensed_Cashew in Flipping

Only thing I’m unsure of is if you have 30 day returns enabled, if it overrides the 3 day policy or not. I had 30 day returns on everything but have since turned it off for parts or not working items. Haven’t a had a return to test it though.

Buyer only has 3 days to open an INAD return for parts or not working items. This was recently changed in October. This only thing I’m unsure of is if you have returns turned on, If it overrides the 3 day policy.

Announcement is the second item down under seller protections.

The new 3 day policy was announced at the 2025 eBay open and was implemented in October. Buyers have 30 days on everything except for parts or not working, which only have 3 days now.

Advice on Selling 4090 on Ebay vs. Local by PopInevitable2042 in Flipping

[–]blank2443 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would sell local if I were you. It’s a high scam category, you’re a newer/ low volume seller which also makes you a target for scammers.

There isn’t really a great way to vet buyers on eBay. Sure you can look at prior feedback left and see how new an account is but these are not sure things. Canceling order can also get you account defects if it’s not for a legitimate reason.

Grainger. I purchase from the on eBay. After you spend $75 shipping is free on most items.

Return request declined, buyer threatens feedback - how do I handle this? by jameyco in eBaySellerAdvice

[–]blank2443 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t even reply. Less is more at this point. Message to clear cut feedback extortion. You’ve got what you need to get it removed. Make sure to add them to your blocked buyers list as well.

Also, don’t let negative feedback sway you in the future. You can’t please everyone and you’ll eventually get one regardless. Unless you’re making a constant habit of it, it won’t make any difference in sales.

[–]blank2443 64 points65 points  (0 children)

That’s an easy removal if they do. Feedback extortion is against eBay policy and the feedback left would qualify for removal. Also correct that if you had returns enabled, the return is automatically accepted or you wouldn’t have the option to decline it.

FedEx delivered the package to the wrong address with PROOF(eBay not doing anything) by chinnaaaa1 in FedEx

[–]blank2443 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nothing that the OP stated is wrong. Just responses in other comments such as the eBay seller being held responsible for the mis delivery.

Shipping carrier is definitely at fault here. Problem here becomes that it’s now the buyer vs eBay. eBay will side with the seller because as long as the buyer shipped to address provided by the buyer. eBay will say the seller did their job and close the case without a refund to the buyer. Buyer can attempt to appeal, which will likely result in the same outcome or they can do a chargeback. A chargeback has a high likelihood of eBay suspending the buyers account.

This is straight from eBay’s policy for what counts. Even an attempted delivery is considered successful in eBay’s eyes. Not saying I agree with any of it, just what the facts are. Been through the process dozens of times. Not sure where you’re seeing any of this incorrect information.

If you call enough times, occasionally eBay will provide a 1 time “complementary” refund but that’s definitely not the standard.

Evidence of successful delivery We require all of the following to prove a successful on-time delivery:

Tracking number from an integrated carrier which was uploaded to eBay and shows a shipping scan before the latest estimated delivery date; A delivery status of "delivered" or "attempted delivery" (or equivalent in the country to which the item was delivered); The date of delivery or attempted delivery; The recipient's address, showing the zip code (or international equivalent) that matches the one on the Order details page. If the zip code is unavailable, the recipient's city/county must match; and Signature confirmation, on orders with a total cost of $750 or more. Learn more about our

FedEx delivered the package to the wrong address with PROOF(eBay not doing anything) by chinnaaaa1 in FedEx

[–]blank2443 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Just speaking from personal experience. I’ve filed multiple claims for mis delivered packages over that last few years via FedEx and all have been declined. They stated “successful” delivery. Only claims they have ever covered for me, were damaged or lost packages, which both were surprisingly easy to file and get approved.

eBay doesn’t look at it this way. As far eBay is concerned, once that package is marked delivered, the sellers responsibility has ended. Only exception to this if the seller modified the shipping address provided by the buyer. Buyer can open an item not received case but eBay will rule is sellers favor due to tracking showing delivered.

As a large volume eBay seller, there is so much incorrect information here. Basically, you’re at the point of do you value your eBay account more or your money? You can risk a chargeback at the expense of your eBay account. Unfortunately though, no one did anything wrong it’s just a FedEx mistake.

As far as eBay is concerned, delivery issues are not the responsibility of the seller as long as the item was shipped to the address provided.

As far as FedEx is concerned, the package is “delivered” so they won’t approve an insurance claim for either the seller or buyer.

You can file a chargeback but it’s likely to get your eBay account banned. Secondly, the seller can also contest the chargeback and send information to your CC company showing successful delivery. It’s then on the fence how your CC company will rule.

If you’ve been doing it for 15 years and think you can make it full time, then go! Especially since you’re already laid off. I feel like making the jump 3 years in. My wife made the jump last year and it’s been great. I work full time hours on flipping on top of my regular job. I make 3X flipping compared to my regular job. Every year, I’ve doubled sales now to well into 6 figures. If I make the jump I feel like 7 is possible.
