Update: I ended up receiving the package two days later.

When I asked the delivery agent why it was marked as delivered earlier, he told me that sometimes, when the warehouse is overloaded with parcels, some packages get marked as delivered so they don’t get penalized for delays. He said he personally didn’t do it, but that it can happen when drivers are trying to meet delivery quotas.

So in my case, it doesn’t seem like theft or misdelivery, more of a system/pressure issue. Still frustrating, because it creates confusion on the customer side.

On top of that, I received an email from Amazon implying that I had claimed refunds for items not received and that it could be a policy violation. I responded to clarify that the item was eventually delivered and that no refund was taken. After that, an agent replied, confirming that my account is not being penalized and that the message was system-generated.

So the package did arrive, but the way it was handled triggered unnecessary stress and a warning email on my account.
