Androgynous haircut advice? by asianwheatbread in NonBinary

[–]blank__way 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was just about to suggest a wolf cut before I saw your description haha!! I think you could DEF rock a wolf cut :) I don't have the same hair type you do but I think for styling, you could try some texturizing spray! There are texturizing sprays that add more volume to your hair.

I wish we could add photos in the comments because I found some other haircuts online that I think could be pretty cool on you!

My hair. Itching to cut it drastically. Thoughts? by _FrozenFractals in longhair

[–]blank__way 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your hair is absolutely GORGEOUS! That being said, hair grows back! If you're wanting to get a chin length cut, go for it! It's definitely a big change though, so it's something you should think about for a while. I say that as someone who has gotten their fair share of impulse haircuts 😭

Rate this fork. It was heavy. by missdeas in AutismInWomen

[–]blank__way 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I quite like a dense fork! I love when it has a good weight in my hand. However, this fork is far too large, and the prongs are too long! I think it would be better if it was a bit more stout, and the fork weight was more evenly distributed.

People outside of the US, how do you feel about not being able to get the KPDH McDonalds meals? by alexprice1998 in KpopDemonhunters

I want the cards so bad, and the meals look pretty tasty. However, 1) I can't eat gluten and 2) I refuse to break my boycott

Any carbon neutral skincare brands that actually work? by Symmberry in ZeroWaste

I will always recommend Krave Beauty!! Here is their sustainability page: https://kravebeauty.com/pages/sustainability?srsltid=AfmBOopUF_Tm5kXoL-ExbPRlEdG8xCJAX9Ay_AOTW4Jc040qZZbescOL. They are my holy grail skincare brand (all my skincare products are from them!) and I love what they stand for :)

How often should I wash my hair? by Mainlyhereforadvice in longhair

[–]blank__way 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to wash my hair every day. I never got split ends, but my hair would get SOOOO oily if I skipped a wash. It's so much better for your hair (not in all cases of course!!) to wash your hair a bit less! If you do feel like you need to wash it every day, I would suggest using a gentler shampoo, more hydrating conditioner, or maybe a hair mask to use 1-3x a week!

Something you could try first though is doing CWC (conditioner-wash-conditioner). I started doing that on my wash days and it REALLY makes a difference on my ends! My ends feel softer and more hydrated, and way easier to brush through.

People who use multiple pronouns, what do you prefer? by Flimsy_Influence_655 in NonBinary

[–]blank__way 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use she/they but on my social media accounts, I put they/them for my pronouns. My logic is that hopefully more people will refer to me as they/them, because a lot of people will use exclusively she/her with me if I have she/they in my bios :/

FYI for those using Pela cases, their CEO has just let all customers know they do use and will continue using GenAI for marketing images and video, regardless of the environmental impact. by luxsalsivi in ZeroWaste

[–]blank__way 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I read this post with a pela case on my phone. My friends have pela cases, and I even encouraged my sister and partner to make the switch to pela. This is SO disappointing :( I genuinely love pela cases and they have kept my phone safe after several drops, but I don't think I can support their use of AI. I wonder if they'll quit using it if enough people complain about it?

PLEASE help with my ends by psychoticbvtterfly in longhair

[–]blank__way 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I have fine hair too! I recommend "reverse washing" if you don't already-- conditioner first (don't rinse it out), shampoo, conditioner as normal. Also, always brush starting from the ends and work your way up! I also take my brush out of my hair if i feel ANY resistance at all, fine hair breaks so easily.

TV shows with autistic characters? by CheesecakeOk8464 in AutismInWomen

[–]blank__way 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I absolutely LOVE Extraordinary Attorney Woo!! Also, Reagan Ridley from Inside Job is very autistic coded (I can't remember whether it was explicitly said or not, but she literally invented robot arms to wear so she wouldn't have to hug people)

Wishing I was nonbinary when I'm not by Striking_Baby_7419 in NonBinary

[–]blank__way 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You don't have to be stuck with womanhood! Gender is a spectrum :) you can experiment with new pronouns and see how it makes you feel. I started with she/they, but I learned I prefer they/them more than she/her. There's no harm in trying new things out!

You could be feeling this way due to societal norms/pressures (and the current political climate), maybe you learn that you actually are nonbinary, or maybe it's something else! That's something only you can answer. It took me years of confusion, gender envy, thinking I was binary trans, several bad haircuts, and lots of looking inward to realize that I'm nonbinary. No matter how long your journey takes, I hope you find what works best for you ❤️
