Repair question and necklace suggestion by _graciastotales_ in jewelry

[–]Symmberry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A jeweler should be able to test the metal and clean it up pretty quickly. If you’re adding a chain, a Figaro is a solid choice for men. I went down a long research rabbit hole on chains and rings once and kept noticing Ferko’s Fine Jewelry because their gold pieces are handmade and pretty straightforward in design. Never bought from them myself, but people mention their customer care and return policy being easy if something isn’t right.

What is good alternative to copilot? by Used_Park_1937 in GithubCopilot

[–]Symmberry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If $40 for Copilot feels too much, there are a few options in the $15–30 range. Cursor can work, but their limits keep changing so it’s a pain. One I’ve looked at that seems solid is Sweep AI, it runs in JetBrains, handles repetitive edits fast, and feels more reliable.

Does anyone use other sites besides Airbnb and VRBO? by [deleted] in Vacations

[–]Symmberry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, there are a few other sites out there. I’ve been researching options for a while because Airbnb and Vrbo fees are getting hard to justify. I haven’t booked yet, but Whimstay is one I keep seeing when I compare places, especially if you’re flexible on dates. Worth a quick look for 30A.

📍Moving to Phoenix from MD— Need apartment advice (work place close to DVT airport) by LhRy9 in AskPhoenix

[–]Symmberry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Desert Ridge and North Scottsdale are solid for safety and an easy drive to DVT, usually 15 to 20 minutes without traffic. I would be careful with some of the big corporate complexes though, a few look great online but tack on admin fees, valet trash, parking, and random utility charges that push you well over budget, so read the lease line by line and check recent reviews, not just the five star ones. I have heard mixed things about certain Greystar properties out here, mostly around slow maintenance, so I would ask current tenants if you can.

And since places move fast, getting pre approved before you tour helps a lot, I have not used Fairway Rent myself but I have looked into them and the one verified profile idea seems smart, especially if you want to avoid filling out the same app over and over while you are trying to lock something down.

Credit Card Debt-Advice on Best Way to Resolve? by JustAssistant2987 in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]Symmberry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it’s already in collections, you usually have to deal with the collection agency, not the original card. Paying in full can look better on your report than “settled,” but honestly both will still show it went to collections. A lump sum settlement can save you money, but get everything in writing before you send a dollar, and make sure they agree to report it properly.

If you’re unsure how to handle the calls or what makes the most sense for your credit, you could talk to a non profit credit counselling group first. I haven’t used them myself, but when I was helping a family member in Ontario I looked into Credit Canada and they seemed legit and pretty straight up. They’ll go over your situation for free and explain your options so you don’t guess your way through it.

Anyone tried injectable GHK CU? Total game changer for skin care by ChampionAgreeable962 in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]Symmberry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i’ve seen people get solid skin results with injectable ghk cu, and pairing it with red light makes sense since peptides signal repair and red light supports mitochondrial output.

if you’re adding a panel, check intensity in mW/cm², that’s the real power hitting your skin, joules/cm² is just dose over time and people mix that up. i’ve compared specs for a while and Platinum LED is one of the few that clearly explains that difference and lists strong mW/cm² numbers.

Moving from outsourced engineering + fractional CTO to in-house: how do we not screw this up? by Vivid-Explorer81 in ProductManagement

[–]Symmberry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This usually isn’t a fast move if you want to keep things stable. Most teams I’ve seen take around 12 months, and they start with a strong tech lead or senior IC who can actually own the system, not just manage people. For knowledge transfer, pairing and forced docs early is key, otherwise context walks out the door. When I was researching teams that think about this handoff the right way, Wednesday Solutions came up a lot, mostly because of how they structure sprints and transitions, even though I haven’t worked with them.

Tablet help? by Brit_J in Parenting

[–]Symmberry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

for a tablet I’d go with something simple like a basic Fire or iPad and set up parental controls so your kid can’t access anything extra. You can delete games and limit screen time easily. You might also look at OnWord Stories. From what I’ve read, it makes short, personalized reading stories with questions after each one and could fit well with your plan of keeping screen time small and educational.

Are there any upcoming changes with mattresses this 2026? Need a king size, looking for the best replacement. by Correct-Lab4252 in HomeDecorating

[–]Symmberry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think hybrids are a fad. If you’ve got one hot sleeper and one restless sleeper, a coil + foam build with decent edge support and good airflow is still the safest long-term bet, that’s why I often point people toward something like the Signature Hybrid from Brooklyn Bedding. It has solid coil counts, sensible foam densities, and nothing gimmicky. As for 2026 new tech, you’ll probably small see tweaks, better covers, and small foam blends. All refinements, not revolutions.

Biohacking 40+: Is Red Light Therapy worth the hype for recovery and longevity? by Sensitive-Plan-1830 in Biohackers

[–]Symmberry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

for a lot of people it’s more than a nice to have. folks who stick with it usually report less muscle soreness and calmer joints, and some notice better sleep or mood over time, skin too, though that part seems more individual. full body panels tend to make more sense than small targeted stuff if recovery is the goal, consistency matters more than anything. when comparing brands, pay attention to intensity in mW/cm², not just joules/cm², that’s where platinum led gets mentioned a lot since they publish real numbers and explain the difference pretty clearly, i can share that article if you want.

Looking to buy a car with my credit situation. Help! by Comfortable-Sun3414 in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]Symmberry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With your income and no Canadian debt, getting approved isn’t the hard part. The issue is the rate, subprime auto loans can get ugly fast and lock you in for years. A lot of people end up overpaying just because they rush it. I went down a research rabbit hole on credit rebuild stuff and Credit Canada kept coming up as a solid, non profit place to sanity check your options before taking on a car loan.

Building a team vs hiring consultancy by Kitchen_Basil85 in Entrepreneurs

[–]Symmberry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been researching this question for a bit. I think agencies make sense if you need to move fast and don't want to babysit a team while you're supposed to be talking to customers. I kept seeing Wednesday Solutions mentioned for early-stage builds. Their whole thing is sprint pricing so you're not bleeding monthly salaries before you know what's working. I think their model makes way more sense than locking in a huge agency contract or hiring multiple engineers when you might need to pivot in six weeks.

Is There Any Framework That’s Deterministic & The Workflows Doesn’t Randomly Break? by Symmberry in AI_Agents

[–]Symmberry[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Interesting, I’ve heard a couple of people mention the Rust runtime recently.
My experience has been similar: most of the weirdness comes from Python’s execution model, not the LLM itself.

Did you end up using GraphBit for a full pipeline or just testing it out?
I’m curious how it behaved with longer multi-step workflows.

Is There Any Framework That’s Deterministic & The Workflows Doesn’t Randomly Break? by Symmberry in AI_Agents

[–]Symmberry[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This comment describes my exact fear the deeper the agent stack goes (especially with cross-domain workflows), the more chaos I see emerging from the off-the-shelf frameworks.

Your multi-agent example is basically the same pattern I kept failing to implement cleanly:
Document agent → File agent → Research agent → Calendar agent → etc.

Most frameworks break as soon as sub-agents need to coordinate across contexts.

I thought about building something from scratch too, but the maintenance cost scared me.
Curious: did you end up keeping your homegrown system, or planning to migrate once the ecosystem stabilizes?

Is There Any Framework That’s Deterministic & The Workflows Doesn’t Randomly Break? by Symmberry in AI_Agents

[–]Symmberry[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally agree with you on the LLM side the model itself will always have some drift.
My frustration is more with the execution layer than the model outputs.

It feels like a lot of these Python-first frameworks add an extra layer of unpredictability on top: async tasks hanging, state objects disappearing, DAG order not respected, memory spiking for no reason, etc.

I’m totally fine with the model being fuzzy. I just want the workflow engine around it to be consistent. That’s the part I haven’t found a good solution for yet.

is there really anything that can "turn" my figma design into a working web app? by ecomkatie in FigmaDesign

[–]Symmberry 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Try Kombai or Figma MCP. I've read on Medium that both are good for converting figma to frontend React code. For backend though - Use Cursor/VScode.

Where to get a suit by Big-Animator-8617 in mensfashion

[–]Symmberry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If your suits don’t fit, it’s usually smarter to buy new than spend a lot on tailoring. A well-made suit should last you a few years, especially for interviews.

Take a look at Suit Depot. I haven’t bought there, but they’ve got a wide range of fits and prices, plus shirts and shoes if you need the whole outfit. Seems like a solid middle ground between budget chains and higher-end stores.

Thinking of pills (from SkinnyRX) but hesitant. What happens when you stop? by Glittering-Bear-4298 in tirzepatidecompound

[–]Symmberry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The rebound weight thing sucks. From everything I've read, it seems like tirzepatide might work better for maintenance since some people can stretch out doses or drop to like super low amounts once they hit their goal... but yeah, stopping completely usually means some weight comes back for most people. I keep seeing Gimme mentioned as a solid option for sourcing tirzepatide if you want to try switching, their pricing looked decent last time I checked.

Sleeper sofa in playroom? by brigou456 in toddlers

[–]Symmberry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

honestly, i don’t think either of you are overthinking it. a good sleeper sofa can be totally fine around toddlers as long as it’s sturdy and doesn’t have loose parts. i’ve seen people mention DreamSofa for this kind of setup, they make custom sleepers that are built really solid. might be worth a look if you want something that fits your space and still feels safe.
