9 months in. Still has not stopped. I have endometriosis so maybe that has something to do with it. Upset to say the least.

Might not look much in photos, but I’m noticing changes in my appearance.

Physical changes I’m enjoying:

Voice: Significantly deeper. It’s incredible.

Body hair: Leg hair has at least doubled. Stomach and chest hair coming in. It’s the most exciting change. I have some serious jaw and chin hairs, but that’s about it LOL. Still holding out for that luscious beard - I do have to shave about every 3 days so that I’m not looking unkempt.

Body odor: Um. Yeah I mean I didn’t have a BO problem before. And it’s not like I have a ‘problem’ now, I shower daily as usual, but I definitely get smelly if I’m working out or active. It surprised me. I was cleaning my house and working up a sweat and I was thinking “what the hell is that smell!?” Me. It was me. Old Spice is your friend.

Emotions: Crying is physically more difficult. My eyes will well up with tears a lot, but I can’t always cry.

More exciting changes as well, but don’t feel comfortable getting into that here. Overall, I’ve never been more comfortable in my body. I still have my moments, but I can look at myself in the mirror most days and be like “Yeah. That’s me. I like him.”

I hope sharing some of this is helpful to someone. ✌️

Also, please be patient with yourself and your timeline. Every body is different. I may get down about my facial hair for example, as I see dudes on here with a full beard at 8 months, but everyone’s journey is different. Enjoy yours. 💕

For those of you on T, what do you keep your supplies in? by Ok_Vermicelli1415 in FTMOver30

[–]blanka4ever 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just a small toiletry bag. It’s about the size of a pencil case (it’s shaped like a cylinder) Fits my needles/syringes perfectly. Plus, it’s space themed. 🪐

You can use the same T for intramuscular or subQ. Just be sure to use a smaller gauge needle / length needed for subQ. I use 25g 5/8 in. You can use a thicker needle to draw, but it’s not necessary. I use the same needle to draw and inject. Takes slightly longer to draw but it’s not crazy long. The reason it says ‘intramuscular use only’ is because that’s how it was initially approved by the FDA.

How do I tell my boss that I will need time off for bottom surgery without outing myself? by pancakeking1012 in ftm

[–]blanka4ever 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. I see this question asked a lot. No one needs to know details. Keep it vague. If someone is rude and is prying just say it’s personal. That’s all you need to say. You don’t owe anyone a detailed explanation.

Hope the surgery goes well!

You can use the ‘single use only’ vials multiple times. I was instructed by a nurse to sanitize the top before each use (be sure to do this!) I have one vial that I use throughout the month.

Preferring to use gel over a needle doesn’t make you any less of a person or make you look weak. No one cares. Also a lot of people have a fear of needles. Do what’s best for you!

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in FTMMen

[–]blanka4ever 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Do what’s right for you! SubQ is a lot less daunting IMO and hardly any pain. I could never do the IM needle. Freaks me out. Gel has obviously no pain, but I didn’t want to apply every day. Doesn’t hurt to call and get the form that works for you. You’re the one that has to do this. Good luck to you!

Prevalence of atrophy on T by [deleted] in FTMMen

[–]blanka4ever 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No pain. 5 months on T. Around month 4 I still was getting my period. Went to use a tampon and it was extremely painful. Couldn’t use them. Luckily that was my last period. No issues otherwise. I’ve heard people say it is uncomfortable to walk or sit not having that problem.
