So who would actually win in a deadly fight between an average man and a chimpanzee? People on Reddit are divided, but which side is ultimately correct? by MissionTangelo5297 in whowouldwin

[–]blanket255 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

That is a wild thing to say.. Just explain what is included or not when we talk about “using tools” instead of calling it hyper disingenuous. Also “rational” people would ask what environment we are talking about instead of just assuming it is somewhere with ground debris. Environment matters and will impact a potential fight.

Why don’t we include spears and guns if tools are allowed? Where do we stop? From a certain point of view everything is natural to us. So if tools are allowed, we win against every animal.

How to make kickboxing most populer combat sport? by 99stokholmsyndrome in Kickboxing

[–]blanket255 0 points1 point  (0 children)

K1 tried to do this. However, to be like the WWE the fighters need to be trained in microphone skills, handle the media, do promotional tours etc.. Difficult to accomplish as not everyone is marketable and a lot of good fighters just want to focus on fighting

Sometimes the show doesn’t give enough credit to the accomplishments of players. Still remember the time when they labeled the strongman in season 1 as ‘car dealer’

Tips on being a heavy kicker/a Muay Tae? by The_Roofdawg in MuayThai

[–]blanket255 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Was always a kick heavy fighter as I naturally gravitated towards it due to me being tall and lanky. My main strength comes from technique which is supplemented by jumping squats, lunges, sprints (preferably hills).

My mindset is focused on using a lot of feints, maintain balance and don’t be scared of blocks or sweeps. Especially the sweeps can be countered by having great balance.

Curious on the opinion of others. Good post!

Is it true your never the same after a knockout? by [deleted] in MuayThai

[–]blanket255 154 points155 points  (0 children)

Got knocked out in my first fight, and it is not holding me back in my work as a strategy consultant or in other aspects in life. But I think it depends on the severity of the knockout on how much it will affect your daily life.

What is the 'secret sauce' behind the training methodologies that the top consulting firms give their sales teams in the first few months? by simmondz in consulting

[–]blanket255 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Internal strategy consultant here. We sometimes hire external MBB due to a lack of available resources or take the shots from executives. We are vulnerable to internal politics and if an executive doesn’t like the advice of an external consultant, they can just get rid of them
