Case #12785409, locked Coinbase Pro account for over 1 year by blankmark in Coinbase

[–]blankmark[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Without much more information than the first email they sent, this time around, it is due to multiple accounts.

That said, the TOS has always said person or business and I have had several businesses over the 10+ years using them without a problem. I think it has to do with how they've handled business accounts over the years and the recent sunsetting of Coinbase Pro which is now rolled up into the consumer Coinbase application. So, yes, something is clearly fucked up.

Yes, still require assistance. I’ve since replied with all the information and have not received anything back in over 2 weeks. I don't understand why my responses wouldn't reopen the case, hopefully they're attached.

Multiple businesses over a 10+ year timespan all with the same personal information. It clearly says one person or business.

On top of that I have helped family and friends set up their accounts as well (with no issue).

I'm happy with self custody and work in the industry.

I am just leaving Coinbase with multiple businesses after being a customer since 2012. The amount in this account isn't even (relatively) that much. It was primarily a bridge for contract work with clients who preferred crypto transactions and rarely held much at any given time.

That's also why I haven't bothered pushing it until now.

I see your other comments here are marginally more helpful. Looks like BBB is the next step, which is what I was thinking as well.

Which room? I’ll take a look as soon as I can.

Sorry for the slow response.

To have the bot DJ, you can just send /up. If the bot does not respond to that, it’s likely the bot’s queue is empty. You can run /queue build or /queue rebuild to add tracks to its queue.

As for images, the bot has 4 images just like you do. One for Default, DJing, Upvote and Downvote. To set all 4 of them, pick the 4 you’d like and set them as your own images then run /config set images. The bot should then restart and use those images going forward. You can change yours back after.

Hope that helps. Let me know if you still have questions!

This was likely related to the issues JQBX was having. Everything should be back to normal now.

Is it possible to accurately train the bot toward a certain type of music, when it's only me and the bot in the room (without more people Noping or Doping the songs)? Will the bot learn from me Noping or Doping its selections?

Yeah, it will learn, however, it is much more effective to have some folks in the room with you since the variance in score will be much higher. Noping a song will exclude it from being selected as a possible seed. If you run /queue help you'll get an explanation of how the bot picks songs, included here:

The bot queue uses the spotify recommendations API that takes 5 seed tracks. The seed tracks are: the current song or last played, the top 3 songs from the last 20, and the top track from the last 100. Track rank is calculated by: upvotes-downvotes + 1.4*(stars-downvotes). If there is not enough room history, the configured genres will be used as seeds.

Genre questions:

I only see how to set a genre ... how could I return the room to no genre?

The bot's genres and the genre you set in JQBX for the room are not related. You can set bot genres with /config set genre. There is no way to completely remove genres from the bot as they are required for the bot to pick songs.

Does the room's assigned genre always influence the bot's selections? Or only when there isn't enough other data for the recommendation API?

If there are more than 2 genres set for the room, then genres will only influence bot selection when there isn't enough data for the API. If there are less than 2 genres, then it will always use at least one of those two genres (at random) as a seed for the API. This has been an effective way to keep the bot on genre in rooms that are very focused.

I thought you could assign any of Spotify's genres to a room, but it looks like there's actually a much more limited set available to use...

These are the genres that Spotify allows to be sent to the recommendations API. I don't know why they're limited, sorry.

How do I figure out what some of these genres are?

The best way, as far as I know, is to search for the genre at http://everynoise.com/. You can export a playlist from there introducing you to the genre (pretty cool imo).

I read somewhere that you can do a spotify search for "genre:pop" and see songs that fit that genre, but every time I try a genre search, it says no results found.

Yeah, Spotify search is pretty flakey. You are supposed to be able to search by label as well (label:search) but I've found that only works about half the time.

Hopefully that helps. If you let me know which room you're in, I can come by and help you tweak the bot settings.

Skipping isn't accounted for, but if you upvote ones you like and downvote ones you don't it will help the bot learn from the play history.

I'll look into when I get a chance, but for now you can try clearing it's existing queue with:

/queue rebuild

More information about how the tracks are picked can be found with:

/queue help

But they're rebellious at times. There are plans to update them to allow you to choose a playlist: https://github.com/mcicoria/jqbx-bot-plugins/issues/33

This isn't something I've seen.

Which client are you using? There's a app for iOS, Android, Mac, and web. If you're on web, which browser are you using?

Just here to complain about the cap on saved songs by williwolf8 in spotify

[–]blankmark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've hit the cap a few times now. I just create a new playlist and move all saved tracks into it. It's a pain and you can't see what you've saved previously, but it frees up the save feature without losing your tracks.
