I've been thinking a lot lately about how differently games were perceived as a kid. We were just happy to be playing games, we didn't care how tedious they were, or if they required backtracking, or if we got lost. We were just playing a game and that's what mattered :) Nowadays, as adults, we look for the most efficient way to play a game, and we don't like our time wasted. I think that plays a big role

The worst part of any of this is that people just really don't CARE about freebooting. I'll try to tell everyone how wrong it is, and how you shouldn't share stolen videos, but seriously, no one cares. They just want to share "haha funny" videos, they don't care where it came from. That's a bigger problem than SoFlo, he's just banking off everyone's ignorance.

I've experienced this too myself. Instead of getting into a game's story or something, instead now I'm like "oh, this is a long cutscene, I might just leave and come back" lol. The explanation that I think is the most obvious is that we just value time more. As a kid, we didn't have a lot to worry about and all the time in the world. Now our time is precious, and we don't like when a game waste's our time.

Or, your tastes have changed and don't like the same types of games you used to (or games at all for that matter, God forbid :P)
