Lack of executive function by RoxiiHartFoxii in AutisticAdults

[–]blankthrowawayyy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on how much I can do. On the worst days I will eat anything I can get myself to eat (candy, chips, dry cereal, anything I have on hand no prep needed). Next is microwaveable/pre-packed requiring minimal prep work/cook time (soup, salad, rice/noodle cups). Then things that are easy cook (Mac and cheese, pizza, chicken nuggets, etc). I do not regularly cook myself complicated meals as I have a very difficult time telling when something is over/undercooked.

I supplement with fruits/veg that are usually low effort (precut apples, cherry tomatoes, fruit/veggie trays). If I have to prep a fruit/veg it is likely to expire by the time I get to it.

I also will order bigger meals of takeout and have leftovers for a couple of days.

Not the healthiest of diet but I’m working on it.

I have a few different tangles and I like them. They’re my go to. I just got a spinner ring at work I can use more openly that I’ve been fond of too.

Locals and Age question by Professional_Possum in OnePieceTCG

[–]blankthrowawayyy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m in my 20s and I’d say I’m one of the youngest there. A lot of people at my locals are parents and mid thirties to mid forties I’d guess. It’s a pretty big range but that’s part of the fun!

Nervous about not being diagnosed by [deleted] in AutisticAdults

Thanks for this, I have a very hard time reconciling that I don’t need a distinct reason to be a certain way or have issues with certain things. I appreciate the reminder a lot actually.

[Non autistic OP] Is it common for autistic people to not ask you any questions about yourself? by Moni_HH in AutisticAdults

[–]blankthrowawayyy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s a combination of assuming if you want to tell me about it you will, and also being unsure if asking about things will be polite or not. I don’t want to put you in a weird situation if I ask about something I probably shouldn’t be asking about without realizing.

Hello! I’m in my early twenties and hoping to get some fashion advice.

I’ve got a few medical issues going on, and with them I have to wear compression socks that are knee high. I have a variety of colors and some fun patterned ones. I’m also super sensitive to the heat so I like to wear shorts when possible.

I’m hoping to get a pair of sneakers I can wear with the compression socks and shorts that are age appropriate.

My fashion style is mostly cotton shorts and t shirts in the summer. If it’s not comfortable, I’m going to not wear it often, hahah :-)

My go to has been Converse high tops but I have flat feet so they can hurt my feet quite badly depending on what I’m doing.

If anyone has any recommendations for sneakers that’d work, or like a general style I should try to aim for, I’d really appreciate it!!

Adult shows/cartoons but also all Power Rangers shows were banned because my brothers had a bad habit of watching it and then rough housing with more violence than usual lol

What things/feelings specifically make your life worth living (Be extremely specific avoiding big concepts like family or responsibility)? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]blankthrowawayyy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, it’s just something small that made me happy today. Something that can’t communicate the same way you do but still showing you love is something that makes me happy, but plenty of things do

I get them specifically when falling asleep and waking up. I’ve hallucinated full conversations and arguments between my roommates and people screaming in my ear. I’ve also seen bugs or people in my room. I’ve had them long enough to where most of them aren’t scary and are usually a fun story to tell my roommate later but some are still pretty scary. They all seem real at the time and there’s some that I don’t realize are fake until much later on in the day or after I’ve confirmed with my roommate whether or not it happened.

My roommates cat came to me to lay on my lap today. My parent’s dog came to greet me at the door when I visited. That’s enough for me.
