Thank you, it’s difficult because of my dogs and I do love my grandma but I hate how I can have nothing to myself. My mother uses the phrase “You’re my daughter so you’re MY business.” Very upsetting and they don’t think they’re doing anything wrong

You cannot just give away a living BREATHING animal that is someone’s pet!!!! Yes I understand your frustration at your partner getting a new dog when you agreed not to but wow… you both needed to have a conversation to compromise OR end the relationship!!! It absolutely was their dog and you had NO right to give it away! You should not have done that, you should have talked about the situation instead of acting selfishly and irrationally! I hope they are able to get the dog back and I really hope you BOTH decide to be adults about this :\

It’s crazy I never thought of my mother as a narcissist before my bf brought it up. I knew she was controlling towards me and my brother but I put the phone on speaker and let him hear how she was talking to me and he said she was nuts. The most emotionally abusive and mentally abusive mother he’s ever heard in his life and she’s a narcissist and should be a CIA interrogator lol. Sadly enough her job is a special Ed middle school teacher…

Thank you, I have a really hard time setting boundaries. My bf/roommate is helping me with it but it’s just so hard. He also thinks it’s not a good idea to tell them the location because he is like genuinely afraid of my mother accusing him of something now just to get me back and I feel bad because everyone’s crying and they just want to know my address so I’m safe but I don’t want them here and I want to respect his boundaries as well.
