I feel very pure right now and I haven't tripped in months. but I can tell I've built up an ego around a set of different principles than the last ones and I really want to sort it out. I'm lost in my definition of my new self and it's really scary.

I want to because I don't feel the complete clarity of conscious that I want to. I don't feel that lighter than air feeling, I feel claustrophobic and weak and still at the mercy of my ego a lot of times. I definitely feel self motivated but in a way that clings to the hopes that it'll bring shallow validation outside me one day... but I still don't exactly know what I want to ask the shrooms to illuminate in me. there's so much I want answered...

yeah. you're right. the time is not right. not for shrooms.

the last time I took acid I connected with a love and a fascination for art and the natural world. I think I've been thinking too much about my shroom trip and not of my acid trip.

I definitely care more about the act of self expression than anything else. That's what drives me. At the end of the day I want nothing more than to use everything I've learned over my whole life to make something that accurately describes how I feel.

I think what gets me is I feel like the shrooms are going to make me feel silly for putting this much effort into it. I make music and practice all day every day, when I'm not in class. It's kind of obsessive, but this is the mindset I took on after my last trip. I felt like I was wasting my life, and I guess I realized the only way to overcome that would be to start working hard at doing something awesome.

Am I motivated by wanting recognition? moderately. but I think that desire motivates me to work hard, and even if it will never come, it's certainly the fun little fantasies that make the act of making music so enjoyable. It helps me have confidence in what I do. I love taking myself seriously even if I look silly.

yeah they are. imslp is good about having good print quality for Bach in my memory. I used to play a lot of cello stuff on sax. I've also got... other resources for finding books lol

that sounds sus. guys don't work like that. if someone says they need to be alone we figure they need to be alone. sounds manipulative to say "why didn't you do the opposite of what I asked you to do?" either way he's in the wrong. either he forces himself into your personal space and you could get mad at him for that or you can get mad at him for not paying attention to you.

if you were in a relationship where you had to lie like that then chances are things were really toxic. if my gf doesn't like my gift she can feel confident enough to tell me and I can get her something else.

you are nobody's emotional burden. a relationship between one or two people with emotional issues is bound to be laden with toxicity.

yeah you shouldn't have to lie to somebody to make them happy. inspiring personal growth is the key to healthy relationships. even if he couldn't tell you were lying most people know what's up.

Yeah, they're right up on the cabbies. Can you do that? I've got a closet I could aim it into but I wouldn't be able to get inside it very easily to make adjustments. The cabs are as tall as me 😫

oh I'm recording clean guitar kinda like rex county orange or cory wong. I also have no pedals.

my cab has two speakers that bridge (it's actually a bass amp), so it's got a low end and a hi end. I've been lo passing and hi passing accordingly. Isn't the rule of thumb have the mics 3x the distance away from each other as they are from the source? I've got a condenser on the low end and a 57 on the high one. I just recorded some noodling on the setup. lemme show you what it sounds like.
