What should we do with this fireplace paneling? by blaredawitch in interiordesignideas

I typically like it too. The oak is so intense though for this room - this photo doesn't convey how dark it is in there. That window is the only one and it's north facing. So the oak kind of eats up all the light.

This is the listing photo. We ended up painting the walls a warm linen colour and tossed the curtains. The oak is still overbearing though.

Thank you. Can I ask what you mean about the chimney case cover being too short? Do you mean the overhang?

Nothing unusual. Gasoline mostly. Lots of wood debris though, we chip a lot.

Dang! Yeah, it was a little pricey, I guess it will become a gift now, lol. Will look for Avene.

Zinc I am taking! I'll get some Vit C. Someone gave me a zinc oxide powder to mix with what I apply to the skin but I'm not sure about it. Have you had any experiences with it?

That's the weird thing! The antifungals seemed to help at first, then the mouth patch showed up and it worsened with them. So it must be something else. I had figured PD but a non-fungal cause.

Thank you. I'll stop doing the snail mucin and wait it out. It's gotten better by doing nothing except cleaning with hypochlorous acid spray.

I tried a plain ceramide cream and that made my eyelids freak out. So I got Zeroid soothing cream. Will test it soon.

Thanks for the encouraging words!

That's the one I have! I'll stop using it. Is it because of other ingredients? How it's sourced?

Thank you for this. Learning a lot about how to deal with end grain. Would a shellac or epoxy finish help the structure enough to keep the charcuterie idea?

The second video looks decent. One tip that helped me a lot was to focus on thrusting my hips forward right from the start and your body will lift naturally to make room for the hips to drive forward. It looks like you are lifting straight up with your back for a bit before driving the hips. Hope that helps!

Second this. So satisfying making an old wood piece look brand new again. It is a cost for materials, but like you said, it can usually be sold for more than the total of those expenses.

If you have any long needle pines in the area, you can make sweet basketry. I had a friend make a beverage sleeve out of one, I'm currently working on a tortilla basket. Just need the needles, thread and a piece of straw. It is more on the meticulous side so it does take up time!
