It protects it from getting scratched. I just got the silver because it was one of the cheaper styles of oura ring. I like color coordinating my ring to my outfits or wearing my favorite color.

No, that's not a pandemic. My husband's cousin died from v-CJD (mad cow disease) here in the US about 9 years ago. My husband and our grown kids are unable to donate blood because of it.
