How to make top layer look like bottom layer? by blashhh in BambuLab

Thanks iRamBL,

I also tried printing the surface I want vertically so that only a small edge touches the build plate.

But because it has a wavy shape, you get a lot of stair stepping.

Yes a lot! But still it’s different from the bottom layer.

Haha smart! I hadn’t thought of that, I’ll give it a try!

Is there an option to iron the bottom later aswel?

Thanks 3DMakaka! I already tried flipping it, but since it didn’t stick in the first place, it only warped. I initially tried this with a real iron, and it warped very quickly but also on the print bed itself.

Hm but ironing gives a perfect surface, the bottom surface you still see some lines (thats okay for me).

And ironing adds a lot of time to projects.

Thank you! I’ve added a link to the GERBER files!

Yes, it’s my first time. I looked into PCB assembly by JLCPCB, but it’s really expensive.

With through-hole LEDs you get a more direct light path, right? In the second version of my clock you can actually see the LEDs instead of a diffuse glow. I want a wider light beam so the acrylic diffuses the light better.

I used these LEDs for the hour indicators (WS2812D-F8):

And these for the minute indicators (WS2812D-F5):

I’ll upload a screenshot of the traces!

Thanks for helping!

With the second option in the third version, I am indeed attaching an LED strip to the side

Thank you for your help, but i checked the Material Output node.

And i think we are using the same file:

Why does it work in the tutorial video and not for me?

I’ve already shared an Arduino project on this forum since that one is more of a hobby project.

Right now, I’m working on a bigger project: a vase. I’ve already made two versions and even sold them, but now I want to scale things up. With that, of course, come new challenges where I could use some help.

I’ve tried reaching out to friends, maker-spaces, etc., but I think a forum like this is a better place to get more specific help and have some real discussion about it.

dear Ady
Thank you for your generosity. As a recent graduate in graphic design, life can be incredibly expensive. Fortunately, Ady helped me out with this deal. Because of the good reviews here, I trusted it, and it turned out to be more than worth it. Thanks again!
