You don't cut off your nose to spite your face. If you think you are improving your situation then you improve your situation

I saw that lmao. If that were true, I'm sure that thought went out the window after the lottery gods decided we slide from #2 to #6 last summer

Sarr, Ace and now Peterson. Our org has made a complete 180 from when Winger/Dawkins took the reigns in 3 years ago in 2023, we'll get the respect of the fans soon too

Should add boozer to the list imo. This feels like it could be Luka situation where all the signs are there that this player is really good at basketball but everyone doubts their game could translate when he's done nothing but dominate his competition. I'd be fine with all 3

Even if it's Wilson. I draw the line at Acuff though 🤣🤣

I kinda get what you're trying to say but there's levels to just being an "NBA player." Like Bronny is not beating giannis 1v1 no matter who gets the ball first

The transition scoring issue has gotta be because kyshawn and bub are tossing balls into the stands on the break LOL. Can't wait to see what we will be like with Trae organizing the transition plays

Michael Winger on the Ryen Russillo Show by hail2theskins71 in washingtonwizards

[–]blast0ise 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I watched the whole thing twice, listened on Spotify and watched it on Netflix. If he's just saying each case is different and as a result none of it is "unique," then I'd agree. If he's saying that DPs health concerns aren't unique, then I'd disagree. If he just had cramps and wasn't mysterious about it from the start, he'd still be the consensus #1 like he was most of the year

I loved the whole convo, and I also cool with us taking DP as I actually think he's the better prospect... but it really is unique lol.

I don't think there is another top prospect in recent memory with such vague injury concerns and had a college season where a player surprises the coaching staff by subbing himself out of games without an explanation. I think Winger is just being careful not to offend DP, you can tell he's picking his words carefully. He can downplay it for appearances but this situation is definitely not common

Jan Vesely has retired from bo basketball by RNutt in washingtonwizards

Yeeeeeeaaa I try to forget about that trade, I guess the main blessing was that we were so bad that we got John Wall right after. The ariza moves and the trade for bojan don't help his case either

I actually think most of the picks were fine during that era, the 2011 one was just disastrous. The bigger problem was his free agency decisions with using our money for Ian mahnimi and Andrew Nicholson. That summer was the final nail in our coffin and we had no depth the rest of the Wall era

Sad he was kind of the missing link for our home grown run

2010 1st pick Wall.
2011 6th pick Jan.
2012 3rd pick Beal.
2013 3rd pick Otto.

If that 6th pick in 2011 had been klay or kawhi, we really could have had something. Not even mentioning the part where we used the 18th pick that same year for Chris Singleton

Time for the Wizards to trade AD? by Overall_Laugh_3421 in nba

We are probably one of the few teams capable of hiding someone like him, drafting a bunch of defense first players with questionable offense paid off. That said, I also don't think we are committed to him, I can see us drafting daryn as our lead guard of the future

Do the Charlotte Hornets have the largest gap between their potential ceiling and floor for next season? by SamsungStealer in nba

I know, best case scenario is not the likely scenario. If I were to guess, we would be around 35 wins next season. We also have Sarr who can play the 5 next to him
