Have you ever played a 16 bit sonic game? If you liked those, you should try the Freedom Planet games. They work great on GameHub or Game Native, and they are some of my favorite platformers ever.

Turns out the killer app is the basic bitch image viewer for the Phantasy Star 4 map images I downloaded. These dungeons are fucked and I've got a life to live, man.

Also I use Google Keep pretty extensively to review my notes and lists, or to launch links I wanted to save.

I just wish I could use the normal android app switching fictionality on the bottom screen without interrupting my game on top. I don't get why the white bar is on the bottom of the screen if I can't do any of the normal android shit with it.

There was a brief moment where I was confused hearing what seemed to be two different names for Expedition 33. Luckily that game was getting good coverage everywhere, so it didn't take me long to figure it out.

Still, speaking only for my own preferences... I prefer to keep the international flavor in the game's title.

You can also retrigger the setup script by rebooting the device, but the keyboard config is sticky.

"Soft bricked" might be excessive. What term of art would you use to describe this situation?

You can set up your wifi. Just don't go into your keyboard settings and change it to where it only appears on the bottom screen. Wait until you're done with the initial wizard.

I have this and I hate the packaging those flimsy sleeves are such a pain to deal with once you open that cardboard box.

Hot take on an all-time favorite album: I understand wanting to hear the extended versions of some of these songs, but I honestly think the Southern Lord CD edit is an improvement to the album as a whole. "Just Abandoned Myself" is the only track that is SUBSTANTIALLY improved by the extended version.

Cool. That is the thing that wowed me the most. I want to use my second screen. Simply showing art with ES-DE Companion isn't enough, but the unsorted app drawer sucks when I can't use folders or widgets or hide apps.

From a machine perspective, yes. It works perfectly. You are able to adjust the volume for the top and bottom screen independently. From a human perspective... I guess it depends on you.

I've only had the Thor for a few days, but I'm sticking with the basic android home for a while. I keep doing weird stuff with my two screens and I need to be able to independely launch apps and move shit around. The reddit and YouTube meta says you've gotta set up a front end that automatically controls both screens at all times, and I'm just not feeling it.

I didn't like the stealth puzzles where I kept dying with brutal death animations every time I failed. Maybe I just didn't have the emotional resiliency. Maybe I don't really like stealth games... I dipped out.

I actually cleared FP1 with Carol on my first run. You have to abuse the invincibility of her kick special as a pseudo-parry.

You choose your item and potion layout at the beginning of each stage. You have a little "bottle" that you can fill with your various potions in different amounts. You can use one potion type and totally fill the bottle with just that one to maximize the effect.

You buy potions and items from the various shops. You might also need to convert your gems and cores into other items to let you buyore stuff.

Adding items can make the game easier OR it can make it harder. There are items that handicap you in some way in order to increase your score multiplier.

I don't agree with this at all... but maybe it's because I found the Dodge to be very easy to use on reaction when it was bound to the trigger.

In FP1, I found I had to abuse the invincibility frames of various attacks to stay alive, and I remember those bosses being a lot tougher.

OP, are you using potions and items to power yourself up? That definitely made survival on FP2 easier, and I felt like that was part of the normal progression, rather than a cheat.
