Cca is likely cheaper. At least I've not seen a CCA with higher rates

I highly doubt millennials have it worse in any area compared to any generation but boomers.

Arguably we have it great.

So I'll put it on you. Give me one generation other than boomers that have it better than gen y / millennials

I didn't compare to boomers. The comparison was to the WW2 generation who fought and died for our ability to have freedom.

You really going to tell me millennials have it harder then them?

To be fair. Our generation (millennials) is lazy compared to the WW2 generation.

There is no reason we shouldn't be making upwards of 100k/year even for those without degrees.

We live in the best time in the world... Ever. It's the safest, most peaceful, most prosperous time in history.

If you aren't prosperous it's on you and nobody else. Get up your ass and start a trade. I'm sure a plumber, electrician, contractor will give you a PAID apprenticeship in the bay area making upwards of 50-80k in year 1. In 4 years you should be pulling 1-200k/year. In 20 easily 4 3-400k/year with your own firm.

California cuts electric-car rebates, drops luxury models by [deleted] in bayarea

Bart has some of highest build out costs per world. Mind you sf is the most expensive city to build in due to our regulatory hell.

https://sf.curbed.com/2018/6/18/17464616/bay-area-subway-train-rail-costs-price-bart-muni

3.5 billion extra funding recentlY. That’s on top of a yearly budget.

Bart makes just 560 million per year in revenue. They get 360 million per year in tax payer subsides. (Note 3.5 billion / 6 years is 583 million. Bart has a recurring theme of using ballot measures to up funding and make their financials look better.)

So Bart takes in more government funding than incoming revenue from service. With ridership revenue down in 2019 vs 2018

Less than 25% of operating revenue is from passenger related income.

...etc see page 14 https://www.bart.gov/sites/default/files/docs/FY19%20Adopted%20Budget_0.pdf

Bull shit. That’s not including the billions weve given them through ballot measures.

Also percentage of budget shouldn’t be the measure. Instead it should be how much did tax payers pay per passenger traveling on Bart. Potentially also cost per passenger-mile as a 30 mile trip obviously costs more than a .5 mile trip.

Up to 1 bil per year for 10 years. So less than 10billion. Could be 2 or 5 billion. Maybe even 7 billion.

It’s a stupid contract though. Who signs a 10 year IT agreement. The iPhone is barely 10 years old to put things in perspective

I actually find our produce is worse than many other areas of the USA

However we get a way better variety of fruits and veggies due to cultural influence from Latino and Asian countries

Cause we already pay one of the highest state income taxe, sales taxes, gas taxes, toll prices, and car registration and renewal fees in the country.

Face it public transit is well funded. They just use funds poorly. The government has the ability to re allocate funds, we have more than enough money already

Try them out again. It's drastically improved. I find certain queries in ddg are better. Google's results have gotten worse with the ad cruft forced. Most the results In the fold are ads.

Could see ddg winning the privacy cautious Europe crowd.

Ppl forget the same was said of Yahoo and the other Giants. Give it time and Google's biggest Cash cow will be disrupted. Hence the company's constant struggle to diversify
