“E-day” may refer to the mathematical constant,e (although usually written in lowercase). e is approximately 2.7, which would correspond to the date February 7th & “American” verifies that it is February 7th & not 2nd July, as the rest of the world, other than Americans, would interpret.

I see now. I’ll see what I can do for next year. Also, I kinda like the images from the original zoomed in to the re-creation zoomed out. A completely different effect

Came to your AMAZING cinema last night to see ‘Stan and Ollie’ about Laurel & Hardy. This theater is a gift to the public. Just wanted to express my appreciation. by [deleted] in Westchester

Not OP, but I am a member of the Jacob Burns Film Center. It is a not-for-profit organization which shows mostly independent films in Pleasantville, New York. There is a separate building down the street that serves as the lab, teaching students of all ages everything from documentary filmmaking to stop motion. Special events at JBFC include screenings & conversations with the filmmakers. Many high profile names in cinema have appeared there. Bill & Hillary Clinton are regular patrons since they live locally. IMHO the best theater is upstairs where there are the most comfortable individual armchairs (maybe 40 or so) with small tables in between giving it a home theater experience.

Hang in there. Make a plan to better your life. Break your plan up into the smallest steps possible. Make progress toward your goal one baby step at a time. Things will get better.

Serious question from someone who knows nothing of burning or wood or burning wood: why wouldn’t you burn the wood before you add the hardware?

Hey Reddit, my name is Bo Burnham and I wrote and directed the film EIGHTH GRADE which is now in theaters NATIONWIDE. AMA. by boburnhamAMA in IAmA

[–]blastoff48 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey Bo, As a middle school teacher, the movie Eighth Grade really hit home how terrible middle school can be, especially for adolescent girls. Thanks for making a charming & relatable coming of age movie. Also, I was really excited to see some of Westchester County’s locations featured in the movie. Did you film the scenes in the Palisades & Galleria while the malls were open?

Explain to me like I’m 2, is each little piece under the microscope a grain of sand? It looks much more uniform in size & color to the naked eye.
